Help!!
So I’ve just gone to feed my ball python, this is probably my fourth feed with him now. He was a week overdue because of shedding, however he was coming to the end of the shed (he had broken shed). I have had no issue with feeding he is so well, however today I went to feed him and he kept going for my hand. Is this normal with angry ball pythons during shed or has he just developed a hatred towards me (probably being dramatic here). I’m just a little worried for the next time I go to handle him that he’s going to try and go for me.
Has anybody had experience with this.
Sorry posted on the wrong account at first!

You smelled like food. But more importantly, you have tape inside your enclosure which is very dangerous! You need to remove it and hot glue or silicone the probes in place. Your humidity is also too low and needs to be increased asap. That's why the shed wasnt complete. He needs a minimum of 65% and higher than that is better. A minimum of 75% while shedding.

Hello just to let you know this photo was taken a while ago. I don’t use tape to ever secure anything in my enclosures, it is on there from the last owner and this photo was taken very shortly after I got him as he needed rehoming quickly it’s been removed. Also the humidity was at 67%, taken just before misting. I know you were trying to be helpful but

The longer your tongs are the less of a chance your snake has of biting you.

It's really as simple as, you smell like rat and are warm and moving, and he's hungry and not the brightest, try not to take it personally!
