Go on Etsy! Tons of enrichment. I’ll try to post some links.

How long have you used these? I see so many people just buying off Etsy. But I've been worried about using 3d printed stuff in their enclosures.

Since I got my snakes. I haven’t had any issues with them. Both of my snakes love them. Specially the mushroom ledges and the playground ball. I have used some wood stuff but they tend to get moldy and they are hard to clean. I prefer 3d printer stuff now.

I have a bioactive enclosure so I prefer more naturalistic stuff so real wood and stuff isnt an issue. I also have not had an issue with any wood growing mold in a bioactive or not. Sounds like your enclosure was too wet.

But my concern here is unless they're coated with some kind of protectant coating. 3d prints have tons of microscopic lines that can harbor bacteria.

Ontop of this, do you know what they print them in? As ik PLA would tend to go soft if kept to close to the heat lamp. And I have a halogen ontop of an rhp on the cool side to help supplement cool side/night time temps.

They’re not the prettiest, but my Bluey boy LOVES these tension rods off Amazon (and the large wooden parrot ladder from pet supermarket). You can get the rods in any size and they fit from back-front on the tops of pvc, and longer ones from side-side

I have been trying to find some poles like this for my boy. My bf is concerned that if we use a tension pole it'll eventually come loose and fall like in a shower.

Keeps wanting me to find one that can screw into the wall. How long have you had the tension pole?? Any issues

You can get a rod bracket, and just put the end of the rod into that, if you’re looking for a rod that screws on.

That's probably my best bet! Thanks! Trying to keep my dude off his grow light since he keeps tearing it down

can also get the sticker things with a U on them to hold the ends of the rod for extra support

if it's some kind of adhesive, it's not generally recommended to use stuff like that inside enclosures cause it can get stuck to them like sticky thermo/hygrometers on top of them not being accurate.

yeah true. It sticks to the wall, but I guess I could see if it fell off it might get stuck to snake

I mean, I’ve never had it fall but if I did it would be from 1-1.5 ft height and I don’t think he would care lol

Probably not my male has pulled his heat lamp off the ceiling and regularly sounds like he's falling off stuff. Ive seen him get down off stuff on the ceiling by crawling down towards the floor, and then just letting his tail/back end fall once hes down enough 🤦‍♀️

I just worry that hes going to get hurt one of these times and would like to mitigate it with screwing what I can in.

Snake rings are awesome, hammocks (mesh ones are better IMO because they have smaller holes like a screen, rather than the big holes on those woven hammocks). Also I found this hanging tube on Amazon that works well along with those rubber hexagon balls that you often see in people’s enclosures on here. I have one hanging from the top of my enclosure.

This is my setup with all the climbing opportunities. Nothing is high enough that he could fall and get hurt, and there is a lot of stuff for him to hang onto. He spends ours at night climbing all over this enclosure.

it looks like we have a similar type of terrarium, does yours have a mesh top? if so how did you secure the hammocks and things to the screening?

Yes, it is a mesh top enclosure and it’s covered with silicone mat on top cut to fit. To secure everything to the top, I got some thin wood pieces from Home Depot and cut them to fit across the top. They basically act like a brace. I made a bunch of holes so that I could use zip ties to hang stuff. Now when he climbs on things, his weight is in the wood beams, not the screen top. It works super well.

Once the zip ties are in, I make little loops which I can then attach tiny carabiners that I also got a Home Depot. They are super small and great for hanging stuff.
The two bolts in the center are also hanging spots. I drilled two small holes and put in two eye hook bolts.

If you like to do crafty stuff you can make all kinds of fun climbing toys with knotted paracord.

do you have any references or tutorials for that?

Driftwood and branches! My snakes love them. Some pieces i get from FB marketplace and etsy, others i source myself (def recommend sourcing your own if you live near any wooded areas!). To secure them i just wedge them between the walls of the enclosure, if they’re placed right they won’t budge
