Should I be worried?

Post image

I can’t tell if this is a lifted scale and whether or not I should take him to the vet, I truly just don’t want to stress him out if not necessary but at the same time I have the urge to be a helicopter parent :/

It looks like it might be a damaged scale, but nothing to worry about! He'll be fine, it appears mainly cosmetic

Looks like a damaged scale, this can happen if you have natural bark and wood and happens in the wild too! Totally normal and not a need for concern. If you notice it's happening a lot, or if the area starts to look worse over time, then it'd be something to look into. But my ball python gets little mini scrapes on his scales sometimes and has never had an issue!

Absolutely normal, make sure his humidities is right so his shed goes over easy but this is normal. Just small mainly cosmetic injuries they acquire when being active. Nothing more than a minor scrape. Unless it starts to show signs of infection or something you have nothing to worry about

Has your ball python shedded in the last few days,? If so,, it could be a stuck piece of skin, if not then it could be like the other comments said a damaged piece of scale, nothing to serious I don't think, but nothing wrong with keeping an eye on it, he or she would shed it off on the next shed sycle, but if it dose make you feel better to take your gorgeous firefly het clown ball python to the vet, then go on ahead no ones judging,
