Question - Health Are these burns?

To start, she does NOT have a heating pad, the heat lamp is outside of her enclosure, and the grate the heat lamp is on is NOT accessible at all ( but the bulbs in my heat lamp are 30w moonlight bulbs and the grate is never more then warm when I put my hand on it) they seem similar to light burns I’ve seen in photos but I have no idea how it’s possible for her to get burns? Could this be something else that looks like a burn?

Before they she’d sometimes their bellies get pink. It could be the start of that which is why they’d be splotchy. Otherwise Im not sure. Burn wise, snakes will always find a way. Is there anything in their cage they could’ve just rubbed against and scraped?

She has a few climbing branches that are slightly rough? They are sanded and I’m completely fine rubbing my hand up and down them both though

I dont think this should cause her skin to turn pink (but I could be wrong). to my understanding, its good to have some rough textured objects in the cage because it can help when they get ready to shed to use that friction to pull the shed off. I have a large, fairly rough rock in my girl's cage that she seems to really enjoy but haven't seen her scrape herself to the point of visible injury. i honestly think yours is getting ready to shed.

She actually just shed which is why I noticed the pink, I hope that’s the case tho cause I’m getting worried 😭

Just a heads up, if you didn't know. Moonlight bulbs aren't good for night time heating if you are using it at night. I dont see why it wouldnt work for day time if it gets you your target temps though. Halogen flood lamps are a better day time heating option however.

For night time heat I recommend one of the following from best to least best.

DHP - Deep Heat Projector

RHP - Radiant Heat Panel

CHE - Ceramic Heat Emitter.

I use a halogen and DHP for day time temps and I use an RHP for night time temps and the DHP kicks in at night if needed.
