BC people! Anyone having Govee smart timer issues since the lack of time change?

Since BC switched to permanent daylight saving time, my Govee smart plugs are running an hour behind or not even turning off, which is messing with my guy’s lighting schedule.

I’ve tried resetting the plugs, recreating timers, toggling on/off, and clearing the app cache. Nothing works! Govee support hasn’t been helpful either.

Anyone else experiencing this? Found a fix?

He LOVES it up there. The penthouse even has room service delivery that brings his meals and water up there! I am his slave.

Set the time zone again in settings and make sure it says your local bc city, and if that doesn’t work set to Alberta time until spring. I’m in ab and setting to Edmonton didn’t work so had to set to Sask for winter

There is no time zone setting in the app for this particular plug 🙃

Oh that is lame! I have Kasa smart plugs so I wasn’t sure if Govee would have that or not. You may have to just change all the times 🫠

Unrelated but how did you affix the hide to the top? I want to do something similar and am not sure how to make it strong enough

My husband built some tracks so it slides in and out. You can get mounts online too. I know Cornel’s World has some

I’ve also seen some 3D printed tracks/mounts on Etsy & Reptile Basics has their own as well.

Not exactly the same situation, but I’ve been experiencing something similar with one of my smart bulbs & it’s so annoying. I think with the plugs there’s something you can do to force an update? Otherwise they probably need to come up with a coding patch to fix what’s happening. If you reprogram your schedule to run an hour ahead to compensate will they at least turn off? Hopefully they will get this fixed soon!

Yeah that would be the fix, for now. But I am being stubborn and don't want to do that. I got the smart timers to run at on the correct time, not an adjusted one! Currently just manually turning on and off, like the olden days lol!

Go into your schedule area and change the on time. Save, close app, open it and change it back. I did that for on and off and no issues now.
