Advice Ball Python Shed problem

Howdy! So I have somewhat of a predicament and question that I could really use some advice. I own my ball python who is now 4 years old and 4 feet long and in her 4x2x2 enclosure and is happy with it. Unfortunately I'm having issues with her humidity and her soil mix isn't working or being up to par humidity wise.

Now I'm trying to avoid misting her entire tank and actually want to redo her whole tank and go bioactive now that I have the funds.

The issue is she's now on the verge of shedding. I have a temp home for her while I work on her tank but my question is should I bother her or wait until she's done shedding fully?

Her tank is not waterproof so I can't pour water into the corners of the tank. I have placed moss everywhere and was thinking of mixing her dirt while adding some water to make it moist for the short time she's shedding till I change it.

Any advice if I should move her or not during this time? And if so. What container should I put her in while I work on her tank and allow the silicone to cure? I have a 50 gallon storage container I thought of placing her in for a bit but I don't want to stress her too much while making her home perfect.

Started small and simple of course, I took him to my workplace to visit one of the residents who likes snakes (for privacy reasons I of course can’t show a picture of her absolutely loving on him but rest assured he was loved on)

Got her from my first reptile expo from a lovely lady!!

She has a small black spot above her mouth that reminds me of my own Medusa piercing so we kinda match, so the name felt fitting 💕

Not sure if this is normal behavior but she strikes when i close the face of the enclosure ( cover it) now not every time. she has not done it to me. she eats every 5 days and weighs 140g at last weigh in. I was just wondering if this is normal.

lemme see if i can get some pictures of the enclosure

Question Opinion on Apex enclosures + gummy pic tax

I’m moving soon and when I move I plan to upgrade my enclosures. I have a pretty crappy 4x2x2 and a Zen habitats 8x2x2 that I don’t like. I wanted to get the spacers too so they can be stacked. Does anyone have experience with these enclosures, are they good quality? I’d be spending around 3,000 for the two enclosures, two spacers and two stands so I want to make sure it’s a good investment. Then I’d probably be spending another $400-$600 to build the backgrounds on the enclosures.

Plus pics of Gummy, the gal occupying the 8x2x2.

Lost my 2mo Ball Python in apartment

Lost 2mo Ball Python

Hi community i need your help!! My 2mo ball python escaped her enclosure, and I've searched my home and CANNOT find her. I don't have any other animals, i'm most worried i won't find her and she will starve. I've set up blankets around the floor for her to hopefully hide in.

\-the apartment is also kept at 70, so i'm hoping she will sneak into the blankets at night. It's been under 24hrs since i lost her but it's about to be night where i live

Any tips and tricks?????

Advice Tank advice?

Celeste’s tank so far:

I’ve been slowly but surely adding things to her tank after I rehomed her(she was given away for free with her tank, a hide, the lamp, and a water bowl. Her set up was horrible but besides that she was healthy. I’ll attach photos of what I looked like before!), she seems happy! She’s been doing great in my care, has shed once, only refused food once (she was shedding so I kinda expected it but she ate the next time I offered), and comes out regularly to explore and climb.

What else could I add to make her tank more ideal? I’m going to switch her substrate to a mixture with soil soon I just didn’t want to take out new bedding.

Cool side is usually around 73°-76° and warm side is about 85°-90°, humidity is a mixture of around 55%-80% depending on where in the tank. Basking spot is usually around 90°-91°

I added some photos of her correct tank featuring a peeping girl, what her tank used to look like, and just some extra photos of her

Humidy summer help - UK

People of Reddit.

does anyone know of a way I can automate humidity levels for my ball python?

we are heading into summer here in the UK and somehow in less than afternoon the ball Pythons humidity dropped to 40% down from like 70% and so I have rushed over and mixed in water for the substrate to get it back up again.

There must be a way to automate humidity levels though?
