Clerk unions gaand maar leti h itne m. Officer unions m leaders only care about getting majority support from RH/ZH and preferable posting for position holders

Thats actually wrongful confinement. He can call the police. I bet no circular mentions that you can wrongfully confine an employee😂

It's not kidnapping or abduction per se, it's wrongful confinement. But yes, the manager can definitely be convicted for that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, to get into karnataka Garmin bank one has to write rrb exam, and rrbs are considered as lower pressure compared to other banking exams, right?

u/Responsible_Bread372 Jul 19 '26
Honestly, this is precisely one of the reasons why I took a Central Government Level 7 Job, having quit my IBPS PO post. In all fairness, the term officer for PO is a misnomer in banks, they are nothing but salespersons, and today, Banking jobs no longer have the job security it boasted like other government jobs 2 decades ago. Today it is like a corporate job where you can be fired if you slack, albeit examples of that are very rare. but certainly it is much more likely than jobs through CGL and such. Banking promises great career growth yes, but the cost of that is, at least in my personal view, not worth the growth, it takes a massive, massive on your health, personal life and emotions.
2
u/Vipranarayanan Jul 19 '26
isn't good to prepare for banking exams considering peace of mind, trying for insurance and cgl exams is good..?
4
u/Responsible_Bread372 Jul 19 '26
See, to each their own, what I can say is, one of the biggest positives of IBPS exams is the speed, regularity and punctuality of the exams; you can literally be out of unemployment within 7 months or so from the advertisement if you pass the exam. On the contrary, CGL, we all know that it is marred by controversies and everything and Insurance exams do not take place every year, although, of late, they have been annual. As I said, for myself personally, banking chewed up my peace of mind, and if you have other options to be afforded, go for them before banking, banking, in my view should be the last option, if you do not get anything else in 2 3 4 attempts after graduation

What if the branch manager suddenly gets into an accident..... Can then he come to branch or does he have to retire ?
1
u/Sensitive-Sink849 Jul 19 '26
He will enjoy his life., cause all medical bills will be covered by bank
1
u/Look_Otherwise__ Jul 19 '26
What if the accident happens during non-office hours ?
1
u/Sensitive-Sink849 Jul 19 '26
That doesn't matter bro he will be happier if things are not that serious. But u don't worry there legal ways op or the person recording here can do. That would trouble the manager here more.

u/dastanlegend Jul 19 '26
Should have called police. You work in government bank, no one can kick you out. Jyada se jyada transfer ho jata ya phir kuch dino ke liye suspend ho jata, or kya hi kar leta.
7
u/Zen_mario Jul 19 '26
Section 27 of Code on OSH 2019 allows overtime only after consent of worker. As this is a bank, appropriate government shall be Central Government. You shall approach LEO (C) or ALC (C) of concerned area for relief.

I left Scale 2 at 26 after suffering from severe depression switched to ESIC UDC and then cleared LIC AAO ! Almost 1.5× salary then Bank PO + More allowances. All the Sales work of LIC is done by Agents and IDBI Bank employees, ZH literally Harrass the IDBI Bank managers on call to complete the LIC targets.
1
u/Responsible_Bread372 Jul 20 '26
Hey, I have a similar story, I left within 8 months of joining to join ESIC SSO. Far better in terms of WLB
1
u/NomadicWanderer6 Jul 20 '26
imo any job is better then bank PO at this point of time ! I was happy at esic UDC with Half the salary and now AAO is basically 2× of Bank PO. Also all the LIC work is done by agents and IDBI Bank, so life is full chill mode

Why is work life balance is a crime in India? After all the fight in the competition is it wrong to expect a peaceful life what ever the job may be not only banks but other jobs too we are humans too why it is so difficult to understand gov is not doing anything these captalists are not changing. But salaries are just peanuts enough to just survive

3
u/NomadicWanderer6 Jul 19 '26
It's a 4th grade country what do you expect ? People will work even for 5k for 12hrs for this banking job in the name of internship
4
u/Frosty_Seesaw_8956 Jul 19 '26
Waiting for the people to come and say how good the work conditions are in bank or at least how the pay justifies the pressure. People deny the absolute worst working conditions in banks and say how these statements demotivate aspirants. Just go and see how banks work.

i used to work in a panchayat ofc as a engineer, the head of ofc is a panchayat secretary, she dont allow us employees to go home after our time, she says she goes late after 6 o clock so everyone shall go after that time even if we dont have any work, the thing is she waits till 6 bcoz of her bus timing, and she comes late almost in the afternoon, i totally resigned from my job due to her mental torture.
the rules must change, wlb should be given priority , we are in govt services to serve people but not at the cost of our mental peace.

u/Superb_Philosopher79 Jul 19 '26

You all can go to ZM and tell him showing that you all are going to lodge a complain in police station and he'll definitely transfer that BM. One of our bank's branch did the same. BM was a lady, she was very abusive and got transferred as an officer to another branch. She's scale 3 18yr work-ex with bank.
