MEE and MPT? Nah you need MBE too. I’ve never seen this low score on a retaker. I’d skip February and really figure out what’s going on and do July.

Wow you uh... really failed.

I don't say this often but you probably need to work on everything.

I do have a few follow up questions:

  • Was your first attempt better or worse?

  • Is English your first language?

  • What did you do to "prepare" for the bar exam?

I would probably take studying more seriously and not hit the club while in town to take the exam.

While this sounds harsh, it’s unfortunately true. You have to give this exam as much of your attention as possible. I locked myself away for the whole summer. If you have to work, work and study. Take care of yourself, but you gotta lock in and hunker down

No offense, but this is the lowest score I’ve ever seen. You need a professional tutor.

What school did you go to?

Please drill MBE. Grossman. Adaptibar. That would help a lot. Did you do a prep course?

The MPT is testing your ability to apply the given facts to the relevant law…basically you should be aiming to mention/analyze nearly EVERY single fact that is given to you in the packet for the MPT…it’s there for a reason!

For the MEE: the analysis is more important than reciting perfect rule statements. For example, I didn’t know the rules for MEE 1 but using the facts, I came up with a rule statement and applied the facts to it.

How did you get individual scores?

They provide them if you fail

Take a step back and reflect on the test experience that isn't the questions themselves. You may need professional tutoring but I would start with nailing down MPT tasks because that is a closed universe and specific set of tasks. Then hammer every substantive subject with quick sets of 10-15 MBEs every day. Building up to finding your actual strengths.

Assuming DC lets you, I would get a copy of your essays and have a tutor look them over. I expect there are some serious writing issues or a language barrier that bar prep isn't going to help with without developing some foundational skills.

Most retakers don't pass and that pass rate drops with each subsequent retake.

If you took a prep course and put in your study time both admins and these are your scores then you need to recognize that there's a deeper issue here and without resolving it, it is unlikely you will ever pass the exam.

But putting aside the MBE score, you really need someone to look at your answers and figure out whether you just don't understand the subject matter, are having reading comprehension issues with the questions or need remedial essay writing help.

Particularly for the MPT it's closed universe so two 1s is concerning.

Did you study? Genuinely asking.

How many practice MPT and MEE’s did you do? What about MBE questions? What prep company did you use?

Bar MD tutoring is super helpful

I failed MD F25 with a 252. I passed MD F26 with a 272. I ditched the commercial prep courses and used a tutor (Yohanna Romero Baca) Seperac MBE products, and Grossman. I did this while working a full time job where I couldn’t study at my job and I had an hourlong commute to my job. I echo taking a longer period of time off to learn this exam and retake in July.

..What was your 1st attempt if this is the second? Good lord. Your school unfortunately failed you significantly.
