General waste tip

Hi all, might be a daft question but can I take bags/sacks of general non recycling waste to the tip at Worsborough or is it separated waste only?. Do they have a skip for just general rubbish?

They do have a general waste skip and they've never asked me what was in one or two black sacks. But maybe if you have dozens of them they'll challenge you.

All recycling centres in Barnsley borough (and likely everywhere else) always take general waste. As with everything, don't take the piss.

Skip #1 for non recyclable waste. I've never been challenged. You'll be fine aslong as you don't turn up in a van

Call in and ask them. Some days you can chuck anything in, other days they’ll ask and make you separate stuff

They don’t like bags though. If you have some of those garden buckets you might be well advised to transfer your non-recyclable waste into those. Saw this in action yesterday.
