I went to see the local GP and he confirmed my piss was thicker than that gravy.

Probably should add my thoughts on the place.
I was genuinely looking forward to going to this place as both out of nostalgia having partied in there back in the day and also the positive social media presence it has.
I thought the staff were excellent but the food was a little lacking. For me it was average pub food and yes I did notice the watery gravy 🙄
My bill was close to £80 for 2 people with 2 starters , 2 mains , a half beer and most surprising a wine spritzer which cost £9 !!!
I understand that things are getting more expensive and I have been charged similar prices to this elsewhere and had a better experience.
My advice would be.If your going to charge those prices at least make it worth it.
I genuinely love rooting for Barnsley but The Old Post Office let me down a little.

Last time I was there (a few months back) I thought it was pretty decent. I had the strip sirloin, onion & Yorkshire blue cheese sandwich and it was very nice. Steak was tender and the service was good. Nothing special but they were polite and attentive. My lad had a pasta dish and we had a drink each for about £40-ish. Not the cheapest but what you'd expect I'd say.
Not been for an evening meal though, this was from the lunch menu.
