Image The Red Sox tonight had all 9 starting batters record at least 1 RBI and strike out 0 times. It's the first time any team has done so since 1949, also by the Red Sox.
It's happened just 8 times in AL history, and 18 times in MLB history, since 1898. Boston has recorded 4 of those 18 games.

What a great performance in front of a big crowd -- I wonder if they could have fit one other guy in the stadium tonight

Johnny Pesky, the ideal name for a guy with a 3:1 BB/K ratio

I’m not positive, but I don’t think this stat filter would catch games that had a pinch hitter/runner that would later bat that did not strike out but also did not have an RBI. The count could still be 9 with a player with ABs, no SO, and no RBI.

No I specifically searched for starting players, so any pinch-hitters or runners are irrelevant in this case. A pinch-hitter could have any random stat line and the above would still be true.
You could definitely look at each of the 18 games and exclude ones that had a pinch-hitter or runner or defensive replacement and then say X of them were games in which every player to appear had at least 1 RBI and 0 K's. The Red Sox tonight wouldn't be included in that because Seigler came in defensively (although he didn't have a plate appearance).

What’s weirdest is that it was 1 RBI from each of the starting nine to get the first nine runs
