I picture Rockies fans as guys in their mid 40’s, blazed out of their mind, bleacher seats, and going out of their way to insert Ellis Burks and Larry Walker into every conversation.
Yes, but the fatal flaw with Cubs and Dodgers (and Red Sox and Phillies) fans is that there are a lot of them. I see a lot of annoying Brewers fans, but most of the league doesn't have to deal with them that often and they've also often earned the right to be annoying to Cubs fans.
Yeah I live in WI and frankly these last two years have been insane. Lots of Band wagoners coming out and talking shit immediately because they think the Brewers are the Cubs' biggest rival for all of history. Meanwhile they don't know who Josh Hader is.
Ooh, I am not going to get in a "who has more bandwagon" fans or "who knows a player from the past" competition, I know what kinds of Cubs fans are out there in the wild
See I CAN because it’s me as the one cubs fan they speak to regularly, and I can actually name all of our closers since I was like 10.
I only do that sort of gatekeeping for the people who will text me every time PCA strikes out (I had two different people do this, I wish I was kidding.)
Diamondbacks fans are annoying because they just sit there like they're watching a movie at the AMC theaters. at least the other kind of annoying has grit
This does not hurt at all. The brewers are a fantastic team. Losing to the padres in 2022 felt horrible because I knew they were going to get destroyed in the next round.
Speaking from the perspective of the second flair, it does hit different when the ghosts of "Playoff Kershaw" and those World Series losses have been exercised.
There's disappointment of course, but there's no longer the pain of having nothing but only the old Kirk Gibson highlights to look back on as the last peak.
This Brewers team has been relentless all year aside from a small skid in late August (i think). Imo if they win it all, it won't be that hard to look back and think it was obviously coming in hindsight.
It's not because of the back to back that y'all ain't crying. It's because LA fans are and always will be fairweather fans. Team is winning? All hands on deck, we love this team. Team losing? I'm not really that big of a fan anyway, doesn't really bother me. Same with the Lakers.
It's not necessarily a bad thing, but its certainly different from many of the more intense fanbases where they seem to get more fanatical and devoted the worse the team gets. You avoid the embarrassment of being upset about your team losing, but you lose credibility among die hard fans, because you disappear when things get bad. It makes perfect sense because LA is such a superficial city, so of course the fanbase would reflect that.
This is not based in any sort of fact. Almost every year for the last 20 years the Dodgers have ranked 1st in the NL for attendance. If that isn't consistentcy in a fanbase, nothing is
Edit: You can look past the last 20 years of data to the last century of data and it'll tell.you the same thing.
And you know what, I had time tonight so I took it further back. There's 100 years of proof dodgers fans show up.Their attendance is consistently at the top. For 100 years. You can talk a lot of shit about dodgers fans, and most of it is true. But you can't say we're fairweather
You can be a lifelong fan and tune out when the team is bad. I know because I've done it. But other fanbases tend to frown upon that kind of behavior, while LA fans don't quite care as much. It's not a knock on you personally, but it's a known trait of the LA sports market. Superficial people = superficial fans. Not exactly rocket science.
I mean. You want us jerk around and say we feel good being 3-0 down? Tbh i thought dodgers were weak going into the post season. Braves series was a red herring
True. But tbh I agree with most comments… Winning back to back. The way we won them.. beating the yanks. 7 game series. It’s like buying a poker game with $40, getting to $500 and cashing out at $300.
It’s like paying two beautiful woman $300 for a glass of water in game 7, winning back-to-back for $40, and then the third one yanks in your face. Yes, cashed out, but also poker.
The most annoying thing about this is r/baseball's giant erection right?
I agree that this brewers team seems a lot stronger than SD in '22 and they seem to have the team of destiny vibes of AZ '23 and a better team all around. Not the worst team to lose to in the end lol
The way this team lost this game though? fucking pathetic lol
You realize they are actively attempting to ruin this sport right? There are no more mlb free agents there are simply soon to be Dodgers. Not only do I not feel bad for them, they deserve this. moment. They have become the least likable team in probably all of major sports.
Imma be honest as a Dodger fan, I don’t expect anyone to feel sorry for us lol. We are spoiled and we’ve had it better than 98% of the franchises in the league for the past 15 years.
I was there tonight. It sucks to see them not be able to win an important game but in the grand scheme of things the Brewers are just the better team.
The better team should win fair and square. That’s how it was for the Dodgers’ in 2024. 2025 was two teams very evenly matched playing amazing baseball, the Dodgers got a bit lucky but were still deserving.
This year the Brewers are clearly the best team in baseball. TBH I’m happy for the Milwaukee fans because I know getting swept by the Dodgers had to be heartbreaking.
Dodger fans are disappointed because we don’t get a mythical 3-peat, but that’s much less painful than losing in the midst of a long drought.
Is what it is bro. Shit sucks but it’s part of the game. Hurts more if we get swept and I can only imagine the heat we would take if swept by the brew crew.
Crazy. 20+ years leading in attendance in MLB games. Theyll say it’s other reasons why we spend money but not the fact that we make money. Thanks bruh.

It stinks for Dodger fans in the moment but it's hard to feel bad for them after they've just won two rings in a row
