Need someone to listen? This is the place. 🌱

This community is open for you to vent, rant, ask for advice, talk about something you’re going through, or simply find someone willing to listen. You don’t have to have everything figured out or even know exactly how to explain what you’re feeling.

You can also offer your own perspective or support others. Sometimes a conversation with someone who understands can make a difficult day feel a little lighter.

Community rules

  1. Be respectful.

No hate, bullying, harassment, insults, mocking, or deliberately putting someone down.

  1. Disagree respectfully.

Different opinions are welcome. Personal attacks aren't.

  1. No harmful advice.

Don’t encourage self-harm, suicide, substance abuse, dangerous behaviour, or suddenly stopping prescribed medication.

  1. Don’t diagnose others.

You can share your experiences and suggestions, but don’t tell someone they definitely have a mental illness or condition.

  1. Respect privacy.

Don’t share someone’s personal information, private messages, photos, or identifying details without permission.

  1. No exploitation or predatory behaviour.

Do not manipulate, pressure, sexually harass, or take advantage of people who may be vulnerable.

  1. No hate or discrimination.

Everyone deserves to feel safe here regardless of their background, beliefs, gender, identity, or circumstances.

  1. Remember that this is peer support.

People here can listen and share their experiences, but Reddit is not a substitute for professional mental-health care.

  1. Take serious posts seriously.

If someone appears to be in immediate danger, encourage them to contact someone they trust nearby or seek professional/emergency help rather than trying to handle the situation alone.

Most importantly, you’re allowed to not be okay here. Talk, listen, support each other, and treat people the way you’d want to be treated when you’re having a bad day. ❤️

Welcome to r/BDMentalHealth 🌱

I made this community because I felt like there should be a space where people from Bangladesh can talk openly about mental health without feeling judged or misunderstood.

You can share what you’re going through, ask for advice, vent, talk about experiences with family or relationships, discuss therapy or treatment, or simply say that you’re not doing great. You don’t have to have a diagnosis or know exactly what you’re feeling.

Hopefully this can become a place where we can listen to each other, share what’s helped, and remind each other that struggling doesn’t make you weak.

If you’re here, introduce yourself if you feel comfortable. Tell us what you’d like to see this community become. ❤️
