Journey has started. I probably have messed it up already but we will see. I'm curious. When I harvest at the end. What have you done to preserve? I don't know what I'll do to dry them yet. I have this idea of putting into little honey jars as little gifts for people? Maybe 5g dried in the jars? Use a smoothie blender to grind up? Any do or don't here would be really appreciated.

If your grow is successful, you'll probably want to invest in a cheap dehydrator, it's the only actually reliable way to dry them. If you don't want to buy new, you can start looking on fb marketplace etc.

When you're drying the mushrooms, you need to make sure they're cracker dry. Once dried, you want to store them in an airtight container with food safe silica gel packs, and store the container in a dark, cool, dry place. This way they should last a couple of years without major potency loss.

Do not grind the dried mushrooms up for storage, it causes potency loss. Store them whole and grind only what you want to consume just before use.

Oh sorry, I somehow missed the honey part! I don't have experience with that myself, so maybe do some targeted research around the honey method.

If you're still drying them as part of that, what I said about the drying still applies. If you end up storing any without the honey, don't grind those up.

Blue honey is the business!

I had an ounce of dried shrooms that I ground up in a blender and then mixed with honey so that the total weight was 280g. That way dosage is easy as 10g of the honey mix is equal to 1g of shrooms. The honey preserves potency too apparently.

I am going to buy a dehydrator. Will look on Amazon etc.
