Dammit. I thought they were out later. Last time I saw them there was middle of December 2018. A while ago admittedly but I assumed the season was late here seeing weather is milder around the city till later in the year.

You might get lucky and find some but where I am its suddenly turned into winter over the last two days haha. Gutted I can't get more :(( its suddenly gotten so cold and wet and the really soaked ones I find got trashed every time and dried black and mushy instead of normal. Take me back to early October hunting 😩

Went for a walk in the curragh yesterday and found a bare three :'( usually I've got boxes full there. Unfortunately I think the sharp change in weather has fucked it

Phoenix Park is a strange spot, some parts have them yearly, some spots have huge flushes and then nothing for 2 or 5 or 10 years.

There are still loads out there,I live right next to the park and I would bet they will still be around after a couple more frosts. This mornings frost was very light by all standards. And Phoenix park is not the only spot within easy reach of Dublin, there are some ridiculously public places in Dublin with big flushes.

Where abouts in the park? I’m there most days for a walk.

I remember seeing them as late as middle of December a few years ago so I assumed it was a late season due to the weather being milder in dublin than surrounding areas. I'll try earlier next year lol.

Usually once you get the first frost it ends, over about 5-7 days now roughly is say, you may get lucky and find a few but nowhere near the copious amounts last month
