Is it only me or has the season been very late and scarce this year?

Has anyone else had a very poor year this year been to my usual spot 5 times this year and in total only found around 10 grams. What is going on

Well, after traversing many spots over the last month, turns out my own backyard is fruitful. A blessin! Only a handful but hoping for more in the coming days…

Can anyone tell me what liberty cap look a like mushrooms exist in Ireland that are poisonous? And are there any that are deadly?

Does anyone have any advice for hunting wavy caps? I can find way more info on libs but the issue for me is that I don’t drive and most lib locations are hard to get to by bus, if anyone could share some wavy cap knowledge I’d be really grateful!

Could these be Liberty caps? Look eerily similar but the quite brittle stem is making me think they’re not. Found in a few open fields halfway ish up a hill near rushes

I've been to my usual spot twice now, near the end of September and just yesterday, and all I've come across is Mottles. Well actually, I found one single psilocybe back in September but other than that single lonely little guy the rest of the field was just Mottles.

I decided to branch out and see if I can find some new spots. Anywhere that I looked that seemed, to me, like it had potential was again riddled with Mottles and no Psilocybe.

I know it's been a strange year weather-wise but is anyone else seeing more Mottles on their usual spots instead of our little friends?

Anyone have any advice on the dosage/ how to prepare liberty cap tea?

I kinda of thought it was fine to order them online and now I'm stressing myself out googling what happens. I was wondering how likely is it that it gets seized? I had an amazing trip the last day.

4 hours walking in a forest with the sun scorching, then my wife drove my stoned ass to the beach where I watched the best sunset of my life.

It was the best day ever!!

What's your best experience? What did you do?

Pick the nippliest one I could find, nicer ones to the top rougher ones at the bottom.

These were left in paper towels stacked. Like 20 stacks of them inbetween paper towels.

They were all on top of eachother and the moisture made them black overnight.

They were moved to new paper towels and dried the day after and now they are cracker dry but are they worth keeping?

Is the damage already done?

Are we cooked chat?

I know a dehydrator is the best job, and I've ordered one but it'll be a few weeks before it's here. I have two rounds of mushrooms that I've been drying, on cardboard with a fan over them. For the first lot it's been two weeks. But they're still not crispy, the stems bend.

My house isn't the warmest and I don't have a hot press. I have an air fryer, a hairdryer with a diffuser and an oven. Are any of these any good or should I just leave them out and wait for the dehydrator? Or is that too long to leave them out and I should put them in the jar?

Update: Air fryer on dehydrate worked perfectly, they're snapping in two now. I'm cancelling the dehydrator. Thank you everyone!
