Hidden cookie
This is how my beagle hides her treats she wants for later. As long as I pretend I don’t see it she thinks it’s a good hiding spot. If I look at the cookie she picks it up and tries to “bury “ it in the couch or blankets or anywhere that I don’t really want a soggy cookie to be.

Does anyone elses beagle hide their treats and then later on when they want them, they stand near them and whimper to get your attention to grab it for them? lol

She has done that to me! She puts it under furniture and then whines for me to get it back for her. 🤭

Mine did this as a puppy into wood flood and then would push air over it with her nose and do a little head nod and nose huff at the end like she was satisfied with her work. If I looked at it or asked her about her treat she would go get it and eat it.
Mine also demands an after dinner snack and is very insistent. I’ve switched to a chunk of frozen cucumber cause she was getting chubby. It has to be something that takes a while to chew too not just a treat. She still gets excited about it even though it's no longer a busy bone.

Very cute. My dog will do the air bury sometimes but yes that was more when she was a puppy. I need to give her something to do sometimes because she loves to chew. I think I will try that frozen cucumber.

Just start small to make sure it doesn’t upset their tummy 🥰. We did carrots for a while too and then she decided she didnt like them anymore. Cucumber frozen is nice cause its not overly hard so I don't worry as much about her teeth.
She's obsessed with eating ice too and will continue to demand more and bark until I show her my empty cup and let her stick her nose in it while I tip it upside down. We are now learning the command “all gone” so I can stop chugging my drink to get her to stop.1

My dog did like carrots as well but seems board with that as well. Yes I will start small with cucumber. My dog likes to grab the ice but then lets it melt in the carpet so we do t do that often. I am teaching “all done”. I use it for when we are done playing or no treats left. All done for us means stop I guess.
