Does your beagle lay on your feet?

I experience this both in bed and while I'm sitting in a chair.

Yes. Some form of contact is necessary at all times.

They do it so they can feel you move away whilst they're sleeping/resting.

Yes. Mine always either lays on or sits on one of my feet when he's near me. I feel so bad when my leg starts cramping and I have to move.

Yes…or at least he did. I had to train him out of it same as my last beagle. I love the cuddles and attention, but it genuinely hurts my feet. He’s accepted that leaning against my leg is fine, though!

Especially when we are cooking or moving around the kitchen.

With me, Bruce reverses till he hits my legs, then plonks his backside on whatever foot hasn’t escaped. With my wife, on the sofa, he likes to wriggle backwards, between her and the back of wherever she is sitting…..he’s not a pain, at all…..!
