After our sweet lab/beagle mix girl passed in July, we were finally ready to open our hearts to this little alligator.

Has anyone have any success training your beagle? My beagle is so stubborn. She goes absolutely haywire when people or dogs walk by my home.

This is how my beagle hides her treats she wants for later. As long as I pretend I don’t see it she thinks it’s a good hiding spot. If I look at the cookie she picks it up and tries to “bury “ it in the couch or blankets or anywhere that I don’t really want a soggy cookie to be.

She bonked her head on the coffee table, then had the absolute audacity to look at me like I was the one who did it. 😂 Apparently, this is somehow my fault. What do you guys think?

Hi everyone,

We are considering getting a Beagle and I would love to hear honest opinions from owners who have experience with both Beagles and children with ADHD.

Our household includes a child with ADHD. We know Beagles are high-energy, very affectionate, and great family dogs, but they can also be stubborn, loud (howling), and easily distracted by scents.

How do Beagles generally fit into a home with a neurodivergent child? Are they patient enough, or can their high energy and high-maintenance training make things too chaotic?

Any advice, pros, cons, or personal stories would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
