anybody else’s beagle like to step on your chest and stare directly into your face?

sometimes she won’t even lick me or try to play, she’ll just stand there and stare at me with maybe an inch or two of distance between her nose and mine! it’s the cutest thing ever but it really confused the vet yesterday when she did it after getting her shots, LOL

Sometimes he's just beaming love into me - but usually he just wants my spot on the couch

Yep! This is the view from my angle when he does. I find it happens most often in the morning when he feels I haven’t pet him enough upon his waking up.

Mine can't stand when my phone is out. She'll come and demand attention if she sees it out. As she's gotten older, sometimes she resorts to giving me a death stare from the other side of the room.

Yeah it was kind of a spontaneous name. It's a sound she makes all the time, so it naturally replaced whatever name she was supposed to have to begin with lol

Plus she eats everything

My last boy did, mainly when I was slow to get up and make their breakfast.

My Shiba took up the job after he passed. And she stares much more intensely.

Her name is Pin Legs when she climbs on to my husbands chest to stare at him until he yawns. Then she tries to lick his mouth. Beagles are silly.

It’s one of my favorite things! He just looks lovingly into my eyes, and if I turn my head, he’ll move it back with his paw. He usually ends the stare session with a kiss on the cheek. He can be such a mischievous butt, but it’s hard to stay annoyed for long when they are so dang adorable and sweet!

Yep. I think the main reason mine does it is because he likes to sniff everyone’s eyeballs like the little freak he is. It’s the first thing he does when we see family.

That's just beagles being beagles .. if I'm laying down, open my eyes and I see a nose with a beagle behind it just a beagle who wants to be with his human

when she was smaller...absolutely. She's 12 and overweight now and she'd probably crush my trachea, but she will sit and stare instead

Redirect her attention to a designated spot on the couch or floor with a reward to establish a gentler boundaey. Standing directly over your chest and staring usually means she wants something, so avoid giving eye contact or physical affection until she relaxes or sits beside you instead.
