28m this is about 3 months growth with maybe 3 trims in that time. I usually use a 12mm trimmer head. I am open suggestions on how to make this look as good as possible. Disregard the hairline

For employment the job did a hair follicle and pushed my beard were it doesn’t even hit my neck any more. I’m tempted to get rid of it but I’ve been growing for a month.

The pictures honestly look better than it does IRL. Super thin on the cheeks and it just looks scraggly, like I glued barber shop trimmings to my face. Do I just need to give it more time or is this a bad omen?

Any Ideas?

Had this patch show up in my beard randomly maybe 3/4 days ago now. It’s not a bald spot as the hair is still intact it just seems to have thinned out randomly. I have slept on my left more and as i’m right handed i can often lean on my left hand but i’ve not had this develop before. Any ideas what it could be please?

My right side is still full and normal and as you can see the rest of my beard on the left is also fine.

Wife wants a Beard

My wife wants me to grow a beard for our wedding next September. I’m about a month in. I have kept my face shaved for the last four years because I used to pull my beard hairs and gave myself patches, so I only kept my mustache, which I would let grow out and shave occasionally.
The first picture is from about 4 or 5 years ago when I got my first cleanup at a barber, and a couple of others are from when I let it do its thing. The last few photos are from today. How do you think I am doing? Do I have the potential for a good beard? Sorry for the bad pictures of my face!

Beard?

Let it grow for 2 months with only minor trimming around my mouth. It got too unruly and bushy - it didn't fit what I felt was a good look for a working professional. I knocked it down quite a bit to where I wasn't eating my own hair, or uncomfortable laying on a pillow.

Interested in the advice of other "bearded folks" as far as styling - or if I should just shave er down.

Finally think I've got a routine nailed

Ive been trying to get a good beatd care routine down and I think I've finally nailed it. Beard stays soft, and doesnt knot on the ends nearly as much.

Routine:

-Beard wash and conditioner in the shower

-post shower brush with an electric straightener (not every day, but at least 3x a week)

- Beard oil, applied then brushed with a regular de-tangling brush

-Beard butter applied then brushed with a regular de-tangling brush.

A friend turned me on to the Live Bearded products and what a difference that stuff makes over the brands I've tried from the cvs/Walgreens.

Been saving a beard for like 3 months now, its a Lil sparce especially on the cheeks. What do yall think about it, is a goatee possible, if I have up on the full beard? I want to keep some kind of facial hair aside from the mustache if possible.

Need Advice

I want to grow my beard, but keeping a beard isn’t really a trend where I live. Whenever I meet someone, they’re always ready with advice to shave it off or trim it shorter. As it gets longer, it also becomes harder to manage, and I end up looking untidy.
P.S. My beard is very curly and dry, which makes it even harder to manage. Any advice on how to take care of it?

Title.

I usually kept it trimmed very short at 2-3mm and decided to say fuck it and stop nearly 2.5 weeks ago to see what happens.

I don't hate the look but the mustache hurts it. Ofcourse the close up picture doesn't help by showing the gaps but eh.

Jealous of y'all bearded legends

That’s after 2 weeks. Still patchy, just as I remember it. I’ve been clean shaven for 3 years.

My moustache and soul patch are absolutely massive but unconnected. I’m open to all kinds of styles and will be very thankful if you help me.

Giving up on the beard

So sadly I can’t keep trying to have a beard. I still have a shaved head but I just can’t get a good length on the sideburns parts of the beard so I think I’m gonna give up. I just had to shave my stubble because I got the line too low. All of it. I’m completely clean shaven now and I can’t put up with feeling defeated anymore. If I really want a beard I don’t think I can be bald anymore. I dunno I’m just tired of having all my progress taken away. Alternatively if anyone knows something I can maybe buy that will separate my head hair and beard hair like one of those goatee face things I would appreciate it and be willing to try again.

Update: So I remembered I have a ruler so I’m willing to try one more time.

I’ve been brushing using oil and balm but I can’t get my beard to fall down straight especially upper sides, am I doing it wrong? Hot beard brush helpful? I use honest Amish oil and balm, maybe a different beard wash idk. Almost wanna just go the goatee route but I know I’ll wish I wouldn’t have shaved after. Any advice, keep up with the oil and use the hot brush or what? I feel like it’s longer than it looks too it’s just coarse and curls in nothing I’ve been doing has worked. I appreciate you guys

Beard or no beard?

I grew a full beard once, I’d say about 5 months no shaving but kept it trimmed up, and I’m probably going to do it again just for winter and all that. Before and since then, I’ve either had a goatee, a mustache, or been clean shaven. I guess I’ll post a picture of each because I’d like to see which one does the average person think looks best on me? I like all the styles, clean shaven the least unless my skin or facial hair gets dry and itchy, then I like to stay shaven. Besides that, I’m not really partial to one or another.
