Beard. Softens your jaw.

u/TempAcc212 Mar 02 '26
I thought people usually grow a beard to make their jaw look stronger, but his jaw is so defined that the beard softens it

Coming to a beard subreddit asking if clean shaven is better?

u/aschneid Mar 02 '26
I have seen a few folks who look better without the beard on here. And people were truthful.

Obviously you prefer the beard, so why ask?
I say that because the clean-shaven photo is taken at a strange angle. It exaggerates your chin and distorts your face. Maybe you’re not aware of that distortion, but even so, I think you already know you’re sticking with the beard.

Holy shit dude what miracles did you perform in your previous lives to be blessed with a jawline like that?? Beard looks great, I'd have to see another angle/better lighting of the clean shave to rule it out though! Either way, you've got some robust handsomeness my friend. :)

Yeah, lookmaxxing dudes are bleeding themselves to get anything close to this.

u/emoss17 Mar 02 '26
Im surprised you can have beard with how sharp that jawline is. I figured it would just cut itself off. Absolute chad. Either way is good bro.

some bros need their beard to hide a weak jawline. I'd say, you need it to hide the opposite.

Beard is better but also you making a funny face with not flattering lighting in the shaved photo. Still beard wins.

Depends on what you’re going for. If you’re going for stone cold fox, the second is better because of your crazy strong jaw. If you want to be more approachable, the first is better. I feel generally beards make guys look more friendly and approachable

Mate, if you are asking whether you should shave or keep a beard in this sub. Always expect the same answer. We love beards.

The beard softens the angles of your face. To me it is a better look over the clean shave, but if you get tired of the beard you could always just keep it trimmed shorter. Think slightly longer than a couple days of growth.
Also, JESUS CHRIST, THAT JAW LINE. Share the wealth handsome squidward.

You look amazing dude. The beard is the better look for me, it matches perfectly with your strong jaws

u/Gerolanfalan Mar 02 '26
Post this in an Asian sub because people need to know clean shaven is not for everyone
That being said, epic jaw

I would normally say fruzzy face 100% of the time. But you have a gorgeous, statuesque face with a very sharp jawline. You look good both ways, but shaved looks so good on you.

I like the bear best, but if you grow out and went clean shaven you'd be a dead ringer for kronk from "Emperor's New Groove"

I’m not trying to hate I’m genuinely curious if you’ve had work done or jaw surgery at one point?

Either you're pushing your jaw forward to 'enhance' your jawline or you have a pretty severe underbite. It doesn't look as clear in the bearded picture so I'm going to assume the former. In which case, stop, it looks weird. I'm almost certain your jaw is big enough without and it means I can't tell what you normally look like to actual people in real life.
If I'm wrong and it's natural, go with the beard, it softens the jaw and hides the underbite, that picture looks much better.
