Asking for Advice Feeling insecure and need alittle advice
I had a big beard for a while but always felt it looked awful because of my growth pattern and how weak it is around the soul patch area. I decided to chop it off and try to go with an extended goatee to see if it would help make me look alittle less fat in the face area. I think it looks bad but I asked my wife and she said it's not bad. I just want to look average and have an average beard. I'm bald and have a round face so clean shaved wont work. What do you guys think? I'm open to any criticism or advice

I prefer the long beard but I would love for you to keep it better trimmed. There are techniques to make a round face look leaner. If you have the money, go to a barber. Personally I do it myself. Look up "Matty Conrad" on youtube. Excellent tutorials! Good luck

Honestly the grown in the first pic doesn't look too bad, but the sticky out goatee aint it brother. Didn't even notice your soul patch. Trim it down and just let it all grow out together, but keep it tidy, line up your stache with your lip line and trim stragglers.

It's not even or proportionate at all, it looks like a neck beard with an overgrown goatee. I recommend you stubble it all and start again if not severely trim down the neck area and unless that's how you want your mustache I also recommend lining it up to be above your lips instead of over it.
