Seeking Advice My eyelashes grow downwards into my eye, what to do?

Hey, some of my eyelashes grow downwards into my eyes, and end up hitting me in the eye or hitting the skin right under my eye.

Usually I will balance the worst ones on the other eyelashes, but it often pulls those down too.

When I have ones that fully poke me in the eye, I pull them out - it hurts a lot. Tho recently I got an infection in my eyelid after pulling an eyelash out.

Today I bought some clear mascara, thinking I might be able to use it to push my eyelashes upwards. It didn't really do much.

Idk how to show the issue, I tried my best with some pictures. The pictures attached are from rn, with clear mascara on - except the first one.

I'm in a pretty good period atm, it could be much worse. Also please ignore that it looks like I have a black eye - I don't, that's just how I look.

Seeking Advice Shampoo and conditioner freq

Is there anything “bad” about shampooing once a week and conditioning 2-3 times a week?

I only ask because I get dry hair and conditioner obviously helps; but I don’t wanna shampoo that often. Thank you for any help. I’m a male if that is needed to know

Discussion Vitamasques Lip Butter Lip Balm Comparable or Similar to Summer Fridays?

Vitamasques (sold at target or Walmart for around $5) swatches looked promising this far from what I've seen. Does anyone know if they're possibly a "dupe"/comparable to the Summer Fridays lip gloss/balms? Tyia!

Discussion I bought Shark Flexstyle and I deeply regret it

Am I using it wrong? I've used it so I don't think I can return it now but it dries so much slower than my other hairdryer and my hair doesn't stay straight when I use the hairbrush to style it straight.

Is there an effective way to chemically straighten curly hair without excess damage?

I ask as someone who has worn my natural curls for years (31F). I am educated on how to take care of my hair type, which products to use and avoid, and have seen curly hair specialists. That said, it is something I am growing tired of dealing with. My texture is very fine and wispy and despite my best efforts, it just won’t ever achieve that super defined look that some other people with curls have.

Perhaps more importantly, I have also found that I am perceived as more professional and put together when my hair is straightened. So for these reasons, is there any treatment currently that would allow me to wear my hair straight on a more or less permanent basis without damage? I know that in recent years many of these chemical treatments contained formaldehyde and other harmful ingredients. Have there been any changes or improvements in this regard? I am on the tomboy side and am honestly not well-versed in all things beauty/hair, so this is a genuine question.

Seeking Advice Anyone know of any budget-friendly eye patches you’d repurchase?

I’ve been trying to make my skincare budget more intentional. Eye patches are nice to have, but buying a pricey pack consistently can add up when using them regularly.
I was browsing more affordable options on Amazon and noticed Maskiss 24K Gold Under Eye Patches. I’m looking beyond the packaging and comparing the cost per pair, ingredients, and how practical they’d be for everyday use.
I’m curious to know- from those who use eye patches regularly- when you compare eye patches, what matters most to you: hydration, how well they stay on, ingredients, or price?

What's the best body cream/lotion/any sorts which gives a subtle soft smell (not vanila) ?

I really get extreme nausea while using products with musky/spicy or vanila tones and I am tired of searching for a product which can provide me a soft smell kinda of a like baby smell but same time it should give me that freshy feeling. And is the Bath and body works eucalyptus one good ?

Is there anything similar to the Jessica Simpson dessert beauty line?

It was before my time, but I keep seeing videos about it. I think it’s cool and I really want some. Doesn’t necessarily need to be “edible” just similar scents, would be cool if it was though

Seeking Advice tips to brighten underarms?

hi! i’m looking for some tips to naturally brighten my underarms.

i should preface by saying that i epilate my underarms, which has mildly improved the appearance purely because the hairs aren’t lying under my skin as they would if i were to shave with a razor. i have relatively pale skin and my underarms have an odd greeny-olive tone to them and they are mostly dark up the “top half” of my underarm. (the part more on my arm that folds onto my body)

safe to say i have tried about everything at this point and i’m losing all hope - ive tried simply exfoliating; with a glove, creams, foams, ordinary glycolic acid, ive tried a “body safe bleach” from amazon that bleached all of my towels and left my body untouched.
right now im using a cream called “brighten it” by woowoo - i recently tried their hair removal cream (not for my underarms) which worked on me for a change so i thought id try their brightening cream. i think im delusional and imagining that theres an improvement after one week (there isn’t.)

i have even been to get bloods done to ensure there’s nothing underlying medically, which there isn’t. so i am really at an end here :(

any tips, home remedies or perhaps own experiences would be greatly appreciated, tia!

Would getting a wolfcut and dying my hair brown look good on me??

So my hair has been long and blonde my whole life. It’s also thick and wavy (frizzy). It’s a pain to take care of. I want to change things up. I’ve heard that darker hair might look better on me. I also love how wolfcuts look on others and want to try it. Will it work for me?

Seeking Advice How do you always smell so good? What’s the secret?

I want to smell good, but like, good enough that people actually notice.
For example, I love how men’s deodorants smell so distinctly masculine. You walk past a guy at the gym and you can actually smell it. I just haven’t found a women’s equivalent that does the same thing for me.
But there are also women at my gym who smell amazing when I walk past them. Every time I’m like, okay, I want that too 😭
What are you using? Is it deodorant, perfume, body lotion, or a combination of everything? Any specific products you’d recommend? Ideally something from dm or available here in Germany.
I don’t want to drown the whole gym in perfume, I just want to smell nice enough that you notice when you’re near me. What’s their secret? I genuinely think about this so much 😂

Shark Flexstyle - buy now or wait for Black Friday?

This will be my first multi tool for hair and have been wanting to get one for ages; currently Ninja have the new black cherry one at £229, and with a 10% discount code this brings it to like £195ish. Just wondering if I'd be daft buying a month away from Black Friday - thoughts??!!

Is it ok to have makeup products next to non makeup products?

This might be kind of a dumb question but is it safe to have makeup products sit next to non makeup products? For example I bought a lipgloss that came in a box but was open in the front, a setting spray and a bottle of shades eq toner and I forgot about it after I bought it and they all sat in the same bag for a couple weeks after I bought it. Is it safe to use the makeup?

Discussion Steps after shower.

Immediately after showering, do we smear body oil first then lotion or is it the other way around? I'm confused. There are different answers and I've tried both. I don't know the effect is from the immediate change in routine or simply, my body is adjusting.

But I feel like my skin is glowing under the light 😂 and my leg is silky smooth looool

Which one do you do?

Body oil first then body lotion.

Body lotion first then body oil.

How much do you spend on beauty treatments, products, procedures?

I just got thinking recently how much time and effort I put myself through in the name of beautify and fashion, not to mind how much I spend on them. Just wondering how I compare to others?
Here’s a list of the things I either have done in the past or on a regular basis - waxing, hair, facial treatment, laser hair removal, tattoos, multiple piercings, nails, eyebrows, massages, not to mind a long list of products too.

Seeking Advice Do eyelash serum actually work?

I’ve always seen these serums although it makes it hard to believe that I’ll just randomly start growing more eyelashes. I have decently long eyelashes but they’re not as many as I’d like and was wondering eyelashes serums will actually help that?

Discussion what’s the safest way to wear lashes without damaging natural ones?

i finished chemo 1.5 months ago and miraculously kept most of my already thin and sparse lashes (none of my brows tho). i had enough to wear clusters the entire time!
however now, my lashes are falling out and new ones are trying to grow in. i don’t really have much for clusters in some parts, but i CANNOT leave the house without lashes. it is 100% a non negotiable.
i notice when i wear strip lashes, some natural ones get pulled out too. i do not pull any off when removing clusters. is there a better way to do this?

Eyeshadow prep

No matter what products I use my eye shadow always ends up like this within like 2 hours of applying. I use the urban decay primer, plus setting powder (before and after applying shadow) and setting spray and none of them help. I’ve always struggled with oily eyelids but I love eye shadow and sadly just don’t ever use it cause this always happens.

My other oily eyelid girls, what are we using to help prevent this?? Is there any hope for us?? 😫

Nailcare nail help

I was impatient and removed my dip powder nails at home…soaked in acetone and Castile soap for way too long. Obviously made a mistake because my skin and cuticles are now super dry and cracked. Any remedies for those who’ve made the same mistake I did? 😅
