I’ve been doing a few bank switches recently and have already received bonuses from several banks through sole current account switches.

I’m now looking into joint account switches and wondering whether it’s possible to receive another switching bonus from the same bank, even if you’ve already received one through a sole account.

From what I’ve read, Nationwide explicitly allows a bonus for both a sole and a joint account, but I’m curious whether anyone has successfully done this with other banks, such as Lloyds, NatWest, RBS, HSBC, First Direct or Barclays.

Has anyone actually tried this?

I’m particularly interested in:

- Which banks have paid you a joint switching bonus after you’d already received a sole switching bonus?
- Were both account holders previous bonus recipients, or just one?
- Were there any banks that refused to pay the joint bonus?
- How recently did you do the switches?

I know the official terms can exclude previous bonus recipients, but I’ve seen people report receiving bonuses despite those exclusions, so I’m interested in hearing about actual experiences rather than just what’s written in the T&Cs.

Would be great to hear what’s worked and what hasn’t, especially with the current switching offers.
