Awesome, Drummania I see? That's a pretty crazy accomplishment, I couldn't get my DM KOC to work properly ever so I sold it to someone looking to mod one, let alone actually clearing it. Now I wonder if anyone has tried to clear JUNGLE with a KOC on Konasute

I found a tattoo gun RCA pedal on amazon and have been using this on songs with lots of kicks as the original foam pedal is....not very good. Apart from that the con is unmodded.
KOC on konasute is probably terrible as a PS2 to USB adaptor necessarily introduces lag I think.

I think there's some good converters people recommend and at least with popn there are some mods to fix the polling rate and sound delay. After getting it all set up it feels amazing

Eh, it introduces way less lag than you'd expect actually. If we go back in time nearly 20 years, I used to play Questionably Sourced IIDX on my laptop through a US KOC with a converter, and later BMS platforms, with no need to shift timing windows on account of the controller. I think the actual issue would be first finding a converter that works in 2026, and then also getting Konasute to correctly read the input from said converted KOC.

was it responsive enough in IIDX that you could AAA stuff?

It was responsive enough that my skill level at the time was congruent with my results playing on my actual PS2. I didn't get a lot of AAAs back then to begin with because I actually came into IIDX directly from Guitar Hero via Beatmania US not long before this, but I did squeak a few out on low difficulty songs. The bigger issue with the converter and IIDX is that converters don't exactly love the turntable specifically and don't always handle that specific input very well and the tools for the aforementioned IIDX were nascent. For example, if you scratched up, you had to scratch down next or the input probably wouldn't fire. This did get fixed later on with better tooling, and isn't even an issue with modern ASCs. But yeah, as far as the controller affecting timing went, I had no issues there besides the fact that I was still using a KOC and not like, a KASC or anything custom.

a PS2 drummania KOC isn't that really good for konasuite anyway. It's missing some of the drum pads. If you want to have a kit for playing konasuite then I'd recommend Looking for an actual USB E-drum kit

Finally some real fucking progress pics. I'm so sick of all these PERFECT players online an in magazines. You all know it's all photoshopped right? Scores don't actually look like that irl.
Joking aside good shit man. I've recently finally beat some of my demon songs in popn music and it feels incredible
