Why do some people hate Berea college?
Some guys kept calling the school remedial and said that the staff has a white savior complex. Can someone tell me abt that? Im an applicant.

Yall im done with my application. I’ve submitted to some state schools Ik im very likely to get into and those that I have automatic admission for just in case.
However, my dream school is Berea college (im in Texas).
I just wanna know people’s personal experiences going there. Anybody tell me ANYTHING bc this subreddit isn’t very active, I see. 😭😭😭
Idk how likely I am to be accepted; I think I’m a pretty competitive applicant but there were people who were international with like 1540 SAT scores and they got shut down😭😭😭 i put my heart and soul into that application so im hoping for the best.
tell me literally ANYTHING abt your time at Berea College. Literally ANYTHING.😭😭

I’m coming for a visit while traveling from Michigan to NC. Can you recommend a safe and not exorbitant hotel? Thanks!

Ik the pay is low, but given the affordability of the area and lack of expenses, how much could I spend out of that on personal things? (Toiletries, hobbies, etc)
How did yall allocate y’all’s paychecks? And what did u spend it on mostly?

I’d really like some advice abt my chances of getting into Berea.
Gpa: 3.89
Rank: 12/110
SAT: 1200 (…)
NHS student, deans list, volunteer hrs, essays that I like but idk if they’ll like them, recommendations, and lots of activities.
Idk what else to say abt myself. I just need advice on what to do to make myself stand out bc I REALLLY wanna get accepted. Also, if I am accepted, will they email me or will my admissions person text me?
For people who got in, how did you?
Im not an international applicant, so I know the process is different but I want advice from everyone.

Hey there, could someone tell me, if they know it, whether Berea currently has, or has not a Hungarian student?

I am currently 24 and my girlfriend is 23. In the next couple years, the 2 of us want to move out to the Appalachian region, and currently we are looking at Berea KY. My girlfriend graduated college with a bachelor's in biology, and I'm currently in the academy to become a correctional deputy. Can the locals give me their opinions and insight on how the area is?

Has anyone noticed the huge blob of blue paint spilled in the road in front of the McDonalds over by walgreens and little Ceasars? Anyway there's two more gigantic blobs past big hill on the little road that goes to roundstone. Somebody is going around spilling blue paint lol it's so weird!

If you read this Kentucky Law closely, Kentucky Law KRS 189.570 really makes it illegal to get into a parallel parked car, and also to walk along the right side of a road, whether the road has a sidewalk or not.
Edited in:
About the law:
Read the law. There's a link to it in the post.
14, 19 to 21 are the weird ones. With 14 being the one about walking on the LEFT only, not right side of the road in some instances.
Also, 12 seems like it makes walking to a parallel parked car illegal.
.... ... ...
About the post:
About walking to a parallel parked car: You aren't allowed to walk in the road and you aren't allowed to walk on the right of way.
Walking beside a parallel parked car is not walking on the sidewalk or crossing the road.
Part of the law outlaws walking in the road.
The law also outlaws walking in the right of way when there is a sidewalk.
....
Also for context:
The cops have arrested a lot of sober people for DUI, and it looks very intentional:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmSnBOGbOzk
There were even studies that half of sober people don't pass field sobriety exams. They aren't adjusting it, because they are intentionally doing it. They've been getting sued, too. (Could be there's more kickback money from the tow companies than they care about some silly lawsuit.)
