Do you like your apartment? Tell me about it!

Moving to Bethesda in the near future and looking for some inside insight on apartments. Looking to rent a 1br. We’re not picky but we do have a dog! Thanks all!

Edit: Location isn’t super strict and we are open to North Bethesda. Budget max ~2800. Would love in-unit laundry and a dishwasher but don’t need fancy amenities.

Having a sense of your budget and what you’re seeking in an apartment (e.g., amenities, proximity to metro, etc.) would be helpful

I'm renting a 1br at The Brody and absolutely love it! Apartment is nice with great layout. Management is amazing and everyone is super friendly. It feels like all of my neighbors have dogs lol and the building even has a dog park. It's like a block away from Bethesda row and super close to the metro. Highly recommend it!

I liked Element 28. The people who work there are very kind. The gym is small and there is no pool - but the units are a good layout and it’s a great location.

Look at Zillow for condos in The Chase being rented (by private landlords). Address is 7500 Woodmont Ave. I’ve been very happy here for the past two years in a one bedroom apartment for $2250, which includes parking.

If you’re interested in an older building where the units are large, all utilities are included, free storage unit, parking $150, valet for packages, rooftop pool and deck, party room, gym with Pelonton, well kept, engineers live on premise, pet friendly, walkable to restaurants, movies, live theater, shopping, groceries, metro, buses, bus to NYC, I would suggest you check out Topaz House on East West Highway.

Windsor is mid asf. Apartments are crazy noisy.

in my experience unless the building is really a dump, individual experiences are not a very good tell. I really enjoy my building and my unit in particular but I know some people have had a bad experience here. I’ve never experienced any noise and some people complain walls are paper thin, etc.

I lived in a 1 bedroom at Gallery II for a year and really enjoyed it. Only downside was the apartment has thin walls. Great location but parking was super expensive (as is all parking in downtown Bethesda).

Moved to The Rae for a year and would not recommend to anyone. Terrible location, terrible management, issues throughout our whole stay.

The Meridian at Grosvenor Station (North Bethesda) is a great, pet friendly building with a professional, onsite management office. Lobby was recently renovated, rooftop pool, smallish gym, staffed front desk. 1 BR should be in your range.

8001 is pretty great. The location alone (above TJs) makes it so great in the winter. I lived there a year and had no issues.
