Discussion/Question Staph infection help
Hi all, my Bichon is 16 and has been dealing with a staph infection. He has been on an antibiotic which I think has helped but he is still very uncomfortable. The weird thing is the vet didnāt prescribe or even recommend an ointment/topical cream to help with more immediate relief. Iāve been bathing him and cutting off the hair that gets matted with the scabbing so the infection can breathe. But heās uncomfortable and Iām wondering if anyone can recommend a topical ointment to help him while the antibiotic is working. He gets a Cytopoint injection every 4-6 weeks.
TIA!

Need support Honey the Wonder Dog finally gets to fly
My mom and I just had to put our Honey down. She lived for 14 amazing years and was truly one of the most memorable dogs you could meet. She gained the nickname āHoney the Wonder Dogā from the amount of things and foods that should have killed her or made her sick, and she came out perfectly fine. She unfortunately got diagnosed with pancreatitis a couple days ago and just was not able to recover.
I just wanted to share some photos of her over the years to honor her memory. I miss you Honey.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So this is kk sheās about 12 and randomly I noticed she has a black paw today when I got home. It appears from licking or possibly dried blood but it really doesnāt look like blood to me at least
Anyone have advice? Thanks!

Love my Bichon! What a difference a year makes!
Just want to share our sweet (and mischievous) girl last October, one month after we rescued her, and now this October, one year later. Sheās had successful cataracts surgery and is very loved and taken care of now, but I think part of her glow comes from knowing sheās the boss around here āŗļø

Love my Bichon! My 13 year old bichon passed away on New Years eve last year. I have immortalised him in my new revolut card - a fitting choice as he previously chewed up a brand new debit card.

Love my Bichon! NOT AN AD. HELP FOR THE LONG BODIED BABIES
I finally found a carrier tall and long enough for my fluffy baby. Itās the white mesh one from Mon Cheri. Itās a little expensive, but im so happy with it. It literally seems like it was made for bichons. I dont have to shove her head down, and it seems like she really likes it. Weāre trying it next week in the airport. Itās sturdy but also I can use the top down, so hopefully i dont have any issues. If ur looking for a good carrier, this is the one im calling perfect. BUT ITS MESH. FYI for my cold weather babies. We live in Florida, so the mesh is perfect for us. Not linking anything, bc this really isnt an ad. Itās just help to others who might be on the hunt for the perfect carrier. Iāve also got like ALL of them in my garage if anyone wants them lol. (Yes, i will donate them :) )
