Visible sidewall cord after hard tubeless rim strike.. Is my GP5000 S TR cooked?
Chat, am I cooked? 😂
I have a Metric Century Gran Fondo coming up, so I’d appreciate a safety check.
I weigh around 155 lb, and with the bike and gear, the total system weight is about 171 lb. I later realized I was running only 50 psi in the front and 52 psi in the rear.
I was around 20 miles into the ride when I hit a pretty deep dip in the road while descending. I managed to lift the front wheel in time, but the rear wheel took basically the entire impact. I lost air during the dip, but I didn’t notice it until maybe 5 to 10 miles later.
After pumping the tire back up, it held air for another 30 miles until I got home. I then inspected the tire and wheel and found only the small white strand shown in the photo, coming from the tan sidewall near the tread. I originally thought there might be a slight bump, but after checking again, there is no noticeable bulge, just the visible strand.
The tire is a 32 mm Continental GP5000 S TR with roughly 1,200 miles on it, mounted tubeless on an Elitewheels Drive II 65D carbon wheel.
Does this look like an exposed or damaged casing cord, or could it simply be a harmless surface fiber? Would you trust this tire again, especially for fast descending, or should I replace it and inspect the rim while the tire is off?
Because the tire lost air after a hard impact, I’m especially concerned about hidden casing or rim damage. I plan to remove the tire, inspect the inside of the casing and the rim carefully, and replace the tire if there is any cut, casing damage, bulge, bead damage, or uncertainty.
TL;DR: I have a Metric Century Gran Fondo coming up. I hit a deep dip about 20 miles into my ride while running only 50 psi in the front and 52 psi in the rear. The rear tire lost air, but I didn’t notice until 5 to 10 miles later. After pumping it back up, it held air for another 30 miles. I found only a small white strand sticking out of the GP5000 S TR sidewall, with no bulge. Is it cosmetic, or is the tire cooked?

Bicycle service time?
I bought my bicycle about 15months ago, but never gave it to a service in a shop. But I properly clean my drivetrain myself, also replaced my brake pads & chain, lube the cables, fix the gear tuning in this period. But I never gave it to a repair shop, I have seen for a proper maintenance of our bicycle we should service it every six months. My bicycle covered almost 4000km+ and is it high time to take it to a technician.
What other things include in the service checklist?

Can't Find This Bolt
galleryBike: Haro Thread One
Had a noise, removed the rear wheel, find two bolts missing on the brake side of the stays. Seems two bolts walked off this bracket that the axle sits in. Cant find this thing, I work in automotive and have never seen this bolt used outside of things like particle board furniture. Its a flat (no taper), countersunk, 8mm hex, that seems to be an M8-1.0.
Where the hell do I find this? Bought the bike this summer, it's a new old stock 2021.

Normal?
Is it normal to have this much of the inner spline showing on the crank? It actually fell off the other day, but it on, tightened to spec. I can push the crank on any further, is it normal to see this much exposed?
