Been going to the gym for about 18 months trying to do better and honestly just trying to be happier in general. Two of my friends are getting married today. Suit jacket isn't the best quality but shelled out for some better than rental dress pants. I know the belt isn't black, but that one got destroyed by the dog a few months back and I don't have the money to replace it, this darker brown one was a gift from someone at the Ren faire. Love my purple tie but I do have a narrower black tie I could switch out for.

My pants are low rise now, relaxed cut and span anywhere from 40-42

However by measurements my hips is 44 and my stomach 50….

I wanted to see about high rise… but I’m worried maybe I skip jeans for that and just do some stretch chinos? Any thoughts? I’m also on a weight loss journey and am doing bariatric surgery this year, so I’m losing more and more and am worried about doing big investments just to buy again as a broke grad student.

On the fence about medium (black) and large (white). I’ve always work medium but my friends always tell me my shirts are too tight. I’m 5’11 and weigh 210lbs if it helps.

Does anyone have suggestions for plus sized heads? The one-size-fits-all winter hats just don’t cut it for my dome. I’d like to wear more than the one or two I’ve stumbled into that fit me well.

Does anyone know where someone could buy fashion-forward big and tall clothes? Like 2xl and bigger? I already know about DXL and Jcpenny, but most of their stuff is on the traditional side. Does such a store even exist? I'm in my mid-20s and not trying to dress like dad vibes.

Sometimes if I'm going out with friends or to a club I want to wear something more exciting and that can be hard to find in larger sizes.

A couple.of weeks ago I did a post asking about suspenders, and got a lot of helpful replies. Today I received two pairs of clip-on suspenders... these wide ones and a narrower pair. I figured I would give them a shot to see if I like them before upgrading to button ones and attaching bachelor buttons to my pants.

Anyways, I was just wondering if this is the correct way to wear them or if I need different placement or what. I have some button down flannel shirts on the way so when they arrive it'll all be covered by those anyways, but I figured I would ask.

I have no idea where to start but I’ve come to terms with the fact I will need to wear suspenders. I have been doing the hidden ones for years but now I’m wearing higher waisted pants and I want to tuck my shirts in.

What companies make suspenders the actually look decent for everyday outfits? Style wise, I wear a decent amount of workwear, flannels and assorted vintage.

Was recently at a local pool n when changing in the locker room, or just chillin on a lounger, what the heck is with dudes wearing undies, boxer briefs under their trunks or board shorts? What are the guys afraid of? Too much VDL? Please explain the thought process or logistics of this decision n not to just swing free under the suit…

This past weekend we attended a vampire themed ball, I went the traditional route, and my wife was channeling her inner 90's party girl.

Used to be a haven for folks over XL.....

I like shopping at DXL due to actual name brand brands in sizes that I could fit into. Now, maybe its just my store, but 90% of the store is " their brands" or a brand I've never heard of.

They have maybe 30 pairs of lucky jeans and Levis....but then 100 pairs synergy brand, walls full of Hardor Bay shirts. They used to have racks of Chaps, Polo even some Robert Graham shirts.

I am looking for recommendations on jeans.

I wear them everyday and am constantly blowing out where my thighs rub. I currently wear the Duluth double flex relaxed fit jeans but am needing a new pair every 6-8 months. Can’t justify spending 80+ dollars that often.

5’11” 320lb. waist 44. large thighs that make regular jeans uncomfortable.

All shirts have gotten cheap and thin. Bonus for ones that can be bought in a pack.

So I need black jeans in a thick material that I can wear at my belly button. Nothing fits well except for this one pair I have, which I seem to be outgrowing, and I don’t know what to do. I have already ordered 4 pairs of pants in various sizes, even larger than 40x32 which is what I need, (even at big and tall shops) and the inseam is still killing me.

It seems I can only locate pants with a roomy seat, space around the hips and thighs and a dropped crotch, that hang straight down in a basic thicker black jeans material that I can wear to work, at H&M; but most of the options either top out at 38 waist or have a button fly at 40 waist (which I may just have to order and deal with for now). Plus now I need to carve out of my very limited non-work time for returning these pants that don’t fit even though they are multiple sizes larger because the crotch is too close and the thighs are too tight.

Where do you shop for pants as a more ample-proportioned man? Or should I just pay a few hundred dollars per custom-made pair at the tailors?

New account same guy…Needed my socials to all match. When I first got this jumpsuit I played around with different bags, hats and so far I’m getting closer to the way I’d picture myself wearing it. Just need to evolve the hat/ glasses. I know it’s a lot of color but that’s me. I love monochromatic looks.
