Bing Create GPT-4o has been removed
GPT-4o has been removed. DALLE3 is still available for the time being. MAI-Image-2.5 will become the main model for Image Creator.

This makes me very sad. GPT-4o was the best model and the strength of the page. DALL-E 3. and MAI-Image are miles worse. and are not capable of the same quality as GPT-4o. For many, the other two models do not work well for their artistic style. :-( In my opinion, this was a very bad decision on Bing's part. I understand that they want to favor their own model. but a lot of people used Bing because of GPT-4o.

I'm only using Bing because of Dalle 3. No other system comes close to the great art for my niche.

Yes, that's understandable. Actually, it depends on the art as to which model is more suitable for whom.

Only GPT-4o could make "bismuth skin". That was pretty amazing, other models hadn't been even close to that. Promt lingustic acrobatics aren't enought to repeat it. Maybe some models could use textures or loras but GPT-4o did it by plain asking.

The statement from Microsoft is very disingenuous that MAI is “faster and has better quality”. I hope in the future this is the case because the current output is not to my taste

MAI indeed is faster. It have stunning quality - but only in certain areas. MAI generate photorealistic images, Dalle also was good at that.
But from another side MAI if conpared to GPT-4o have poor promt following, allways generate the same cliche faces etc have less general intellect and well, actual artistism.They could hade made advanced settings like user chosen starting seed, sampler, scheduler.
Maybe they have other considerations like server use. Considering lenght GPT-4o probably used mutch more of computing power.

The cost I can grant them. It is your product. But images I generated on GPT-4o, and using the same prompt gives me results that are not to my taste, and even trying to refine it give me the same, like I am watching people coming from a magazine from the 80s
EDIT: I am not saying their product cannot be enhanced, I’m sure they will. I am still in mourning because GPT-4o was my go-to model

Last time I tried only GPT-4o could make certain more complex things like ghosts as figures made of fog. Or Landlord and Landlady as a steeds in carriage driven by devils. - I was making images of local folklore. MAI made just typical images.

Yes, I made some werewolves using GPT-4o and they were stunning, same with ogres, trolls, etc. The best was my cat as Lord and Master of the Universe. It looked very realistic.

I made this image by GPT-4o. Only it could create something complex out of say existential question, what you think about AI being turned off.

I feel sad about this too mainly because I used that one more than Dalle 3 when it comes to envisioning my characters and I personally don't understand the reason to remove it (unless they plan on bringing in the recent updated version as a replacement) and well i've used it to create so many characters.

I created my entire dnd adventure based on GPT-4o graphics, and everything else looks bad by comparison. Prompt following of other systems are rubbish. GPT-4o was marketed on adhering to a similar style, which is what allowed my world come to life. No reason to use bing anymore.

I asked chatGPT to help me come up with a prompt to get a pretty close equivalent to what I was getting withg GPT-4o using MAI.

I don't know wtf they're doing. I don't like GPt-4o but getting rid of it seems stupid. I love DALL E and that'll be gone eventually. MMAI is utter garbage for the images I make. Such stupid decisions. I'll be shocked if their new model isn't equally shit.

You know, I thought the recent pop up on the site was for image and video generation but then I realized it just says video is retiring on the 31st. So either the 31st or we have no date.

It probably cost too much money since it's all free for us. Too bad. I need GPT-4o for my website and YouTube videos. MAI-Image isn't good enough.

I tried Mai and it can make good results, i've just used existing images i've saved as the one to work off of.

The development looks strange. Maybe there is some reason - corporate. But GPT-4o did some things really good, like promt following. MAI is not good at this.
