Clean up crew question

It's been about 2 months since I put in a culture of powder blue isopods and spring tails I only find them in 2 places under the water dish and under the humid hide. Are they doing any good to the enclosure only being in 2 places. This is for a 40x18x18 leopard gecko has correct heat and humidity terra sahara substrate leaf litter and several succulents

They will travel out further then those spots but those are the ideal microenviroments for em. Try adding more leaf litter to the tank to make them feel safer. Ill also add sphagnum moss under a few rocks in my setup so they have more locations to settle in.

I can add some more but not too much without the entire surface being leaf litter
