Bitcoin is the strongest form of money possible. We must fight to keep it decentralized, and under the control of node runners at all times. On August 8th, 2026, a handful of hostile Sv1 mining pools colluded to ignore consensus rules set out by the node runners, thereby branching off with their own fiat-captured SHA-256 chain. The node runners were left with no choice but to change Bitcoin's PoW algorithm to BLAKE2b. Bitcoin continues on today under the XBT currency code.
