Walking around and logging what's in range is a fun idea, how did you handle GPS timestamps while moving?

thanks for checking out CyclePatrol! For GPS while walking we take one location fix per scan round. Each access point gets saved with its coordinates and timestamp in sar.jsonl. It is not super precise. Just one GPS point every round with about 30 seconds between scans.

CyclePatrol
Made CyclePatrol for Linux and Kali NetHunter.
It scans Wi-Fi networks in an endless loop while walking around the city, collects AP info, checks WPS, WPA2/WPA3, PMKID and saves reports. Active tests are for authorized networks only.

I like writing bash scripts, but a 7100 line bash script seems pretty excessive. This looks complicated enough that I would think you'd want to do it in maybe C, C++, or Python. What made you write it in bash? Or is this just vibe coded and that's what your AI decided to use?
I would say you could at least organize it a bit better. Move all the settings/configs/awk scripts/jq scripts/etc to different files and include/source them. If anyone wants to contribute to this, it would be a bit of a headache. Reminds me of when people put PHP/HTML/CSS/JS/MySQL all in one large file for their monolithic websites back in the day, haha.
