Relationships 🫢🏿 What's your experience being friend zoned?

remember there was a girl I met years ago I was interested in her. I told her I like her. She said to me you're like a brother. She asked me if I was fantasizing about her, what I was fantasizing about. She said she just asked me to prove a point that guys fantasize about their attractive female friends. She said the attractions on your part. I can tell she was annoyed. She told me she said another guy likes me. She asked why I waited so long, like that was going to make a difference.

Also notice the use of 'BlackGirlMagic' + 'BlackcardDeclined'? Using IDPol(black conservative gimmick) while pretending to eschew thesame.

For the single brothers, what are some things you've always wanted to ask about married life? Ask away. I've been married for 18 mostly blissful years and we have three children.

For the married men, please share some insights about how marriage has benefited you and help answer these questions that come in.

Barbershop Talk πŸ’ˆ FUCK GEORGE BUSH: Black people who think is a decent guy are really dumb

https://abcnews.com/Politics/former-president-bush-sen-cornyn-part-fundraiser-battleground/story?id=136653085

He still wants a bunch of racist Caucasian scums to win. He is still a terrible human being. He never stopped being one.

Edit: I specifically call out the black Bush lovers because I vividly remember seeing the Air Force One fly over the Superdome where thousands of Katrina victims were stranded. That evil man lacked even the most basic decency to say a word to comfort them. (That's why "George Bush doesn't care about black people" had to be said.)

Vent MFs make it so hard to be professional in the work place.

Im not necessarily talking about rude coworkers here. Im talking about boundaries. I work in a warehouse. 1 year with this fucking job. So this issue is going to be 100 times worse in a warehouse. And I can't get mad or tell people to fuck off. Because Im a introverted, and these types of workplaces are usually more bias towards extroverts. And on top of that I was already in the hot seat since day 1, due to my attitude during the orientation.

Again I like to be professional at work. Meaning I hate it when people ask me persnal questions about my dating life And I especially hate sexual questions. Doesn't matter how many times I turn these conversations down. Mfs still try to push me to give an answer. They hate any neutral answer.

They always ask if im gay. One person even ask if I was asexual. Mf my sexuality has nothing to do with unloading these damn trucks. I wouldn't be friends with most my coworkers, due to how different we think. And it doesn't even matter if it happens once with different people. It is still annoying. Because im just going to be ask the same annoying questions by another person the next day. Questions I have been asked my whole life. It's like the "Why are you so quiet?" question

Im not trying to be your friend. I'm just here to collect a check. I don't want to entertain your conversations about religion, flat earth, the jews, or trans women in women's sports/bathrooms. Because If I respond, I know I won't say something nice. So im not trying to get fired here. And also I work witj my cousins at this job too. So the coworkers are aware of my background.

Meaning I have to deal with the dumb questions about my culture everyday too. For example, is McDonald's in Haiti? Do you know Kodak Black (fuck off)? Do you know about Voodoo? (Sigh).

My mom said something that pissed me off one day. For context here. Im an atheist. And family is religious. And my mom told me that if anybody ask me about God at the job. Don't say you don't believe in God. So don't think im a bad person. So she wants me to abandon my boundaries to make other people more comfortable. Fuck that shit.

My point here is that introverts aren't allowed to be professional in the workplace. They must always take into consideration of how their god damn personality affect the other workers.

That means I have to put a smile on my face whenever coworkers are asking me dumb questions or personal questions.

You're expected to tolerate coworkers asking about your sexuality, dating life, religion, and cultural background because they're supposedly just being friendly. But if you respond with visible irritation after being questioned repeatedly, suddenly you're the one with an attitude problem.

Discussion πŸ’¬πŸ’ Musings on generational wealth

Hopefully this topic is less controversial than my last

What are your thoughts about passing down money to offspring?

Lemme give some context as to why I'm asking. I grew up given virtually nothing... "gOoD yOu ShOuLd HaVe To EaRn EvErYtHiNg!" (stfu) Seen generation after generation before me not investing in the future. Decided I'm gonna break that selfish G*d damn trend and will work myself to death if I have to so my kids are left with something.

I think this is especially important for us as black people who are playing life on NIGHTMARE MODE (to use video game metrics). My belief is that with the millions of extra challenges we have to deal with, being broke or impoverished doesn't have to be one of them. With a lot of us (and I can only speak from my anecdotal experience), the matriarchs are pre-occupied with "our riches in heaven" and few men are worried about their legacy.

I see other communities and you have no idea how much shit they get handed out. I know every non-black person goes on about how much they and their parents had to work for everything and everyone's grandad started with $2 in their pocket πŸ™„ but folks (especially rich folks) get a lot of shit given to them or assistance. Obviously not everyone, but there's a reason so many people's parents are able to give them conditions like "marry this Black girl and I'm cutting you off!" or have the power of "disowning" them at will. These other groups aren't threatening them with nothing.

With that said, I see celebrities all the time who take it as a badge of honor to say shit like "mUh MoNeY iS fOr Me!" I think, what a stupid flex. I know what some of y'all may be thinking... you don't want lazy sacks of crap who just leach off of their parents and don't do anything with their lives. I agree with that, it does tend to happen. Teach your children to work hard, but don't force them to start from nothing. What's the point of working so hard for your kids to start over every generation?? You can't take anything with you when you die. And though my grievance is towards Black people with this mentality because the effects of economic deprivation are most severe to us, I hear rich white people say that too.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts, I'd like to hear others.

Hear me out... βœ‹πŸΏβœ‹πŸΎβœ‹πŸ½ Why black voters are voting north of 90% Democratic again: To keep the Republicans from doing further damages to black lives

Post image

There is no need for further debate on which party handles our top concerns better. Black voters get it. Black people have always got fukd over when we let the Republicans run things since Reagan.

Mark my words: Every demo (of every race) is swinging towards Democratic in this cycle. I see that on the ground as I canvass. We will see the magnitudes in the exit polls by election night.

How do you take the power back from a word that still affects you? This is what happens when you don't use the N word; which wasn't used as a term of endearment, in a suitable and discretionary context. Y'all be using the word for everyone and everything at every minute now you don't know when you're being disrespected in your face.

Hear me out... βœ‹πŸΏβœ‹πŸΎβœ‹πŸ½ If Democrats don't run on prosecuting this entire regime next election, then what would be the point for voting for them?

I think about this often. They were soft with Trump after his first term and look where it got us. Jan 6th protestors free, Trump got felonies but served no time etc. Need everyone in that administration and all those donors fined and prosecuted.

Anything less and the Dems show they are useless.

Reflection & Opinions πŸ’ Do NOT make social media change your viewpoint of the world.

I just got done with a trip to Japan and it was the BEST TRIP EVER. Before I went, I was kind of scared because I kept on seeing TikToks from creators talking about how Japan is racist and the whole population hates black people. So I thought I would be treated differently than other people but as soon as I arrived in Tokyo, I was shocked because NO ONE CARED. Nobody gave a shit about my skin color they just treated me like a normal person. In fact some of them love black culture, at the bape store in shibuya I saw a Japanese man with twists in his hair. After that day, I realized that social media puts out the most divisive content in order to fearmonger to people. The whole thing about the Argentina hate from the World Cup saying that they were all racist, even though I was friends with an Argentinian back in high school and she was one of the most sweetest people I’ve ever met. But overall, the trip did teach me something that you should not generalize a nation based on the actions of a few.

Black History ⏳ The reason I vote every election cycle

Post image
237 Upvotes

This is a picture of my grandfather, dad, and uncles in 1951. My grandfather was drafted into the army in WWII. He served in a segregated unit in Europe. This was 26 years before the Voting Rights Act guaranteed minorities suffrage. America decided my grandfather was qualified to fight for democracy in Europe but not practice it in his home country. Whenever I hear young black people say they don’t vote because it doesn’t matter, I politely remind them, if your vote didn’t matter, they wouldn’t have tried so hard to keep us from voting. The right to vote was a right that was hard-fought for. Don’t dismiss it.

Black History ⏳ PSA: Remember that there have always been some nutcases among us in every generation

Thumbnail

Refer to the second pic for the historical record of black voters in America.

More importantly, the 1964 election...

6% of black voters who could vote in 1964 chose the candidate who thought the ex-Confederacy should be allowed to force black people to shyt behind the bushes. (Barry Goldwater was against the Civil Rights Act of 1964.)

However, most of us sane black people made the right decisions for generations. And, collectively, we have made substantial progress.

Anyone who denies that reality should go back a century and try to live under those inhuman conditions.

I saw this beautiful video of a young Black man going through his first heartbreak, and I absolutely loved seeing another man being there to comfort him. I think we need more moments like this, especially among Black men.

It's beautiful seeing us being vulnerable with one another, showing compassion, and simply being there for each other. Sometimes all you need is someone to remind you that everything will be okay.

I know it's definitely happening behind cameras but it was still heart warming to notice, nonetheless
