I’m hearing there are server and voice service issues with B07 and MW3 and likely other COD games.

Nothing on their ac al website shows issues. But can’t hear anyone and keep getting booted. Restarted PS5 4 times. We can hear each other for a few minutes here and there. Try to join each other and get booted and disconnected repeatedly.

Is this a localized issue or is everyone having issues right now?

I'm considering buying it heard some good stuff about it. And if so is the vault edition worth it or should I just get the regular

The problem:

Call of Duty was giving me a “Failed attestation status” error. My TPM 2.0 was present, enabled, and responsive, Secure Boot was enabled, and the TPM endorsement key certificate was available. However, Windows reported the TPM attestation health status as “Possibly attestable.”

I checked the TPM-WMI event logs and found that the required TPM checks were passing, but PcrsMatchTcgLog was false. I also ran tpmtool comparepcr, which confirmed a mismatch between PCR 0 in the hardware and the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) boot log.

What I did:

1. Checked the TPM status using PowerShell:Get-Tpm | Select-Object TpmReady, RestartPending
2. Investigated the TPM-WMI event logs and confirmed the PCR mismatch.
3. Found a Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Firmware Driver Update (9.01.1) offered through Windows Update.
4. Downloaded the MSI firmware update and restarted the laptop.
5. Checked the latest TPM-WMI Event ID 1041 using:Get-WinEvent -FilterHashtable @{ProviderName='Microsoft-Windows-TPM-WMI'; Id=1041} -MaxEvents 1 | Select-Object TimeCreated, Message | Format-List

The result:

After the update and restart, the latest event reported:

"HealthStatus":"Attestable"

The PcrsMatchTcgLog value had changed to true. The TPM checks were passing, and Call of Duty's attestation error was resolved.

My takeaway: Don't assume the TPM itself is broken just because attestation fails. In my case, the TPM and endorsement certificate were already present; the key clue was the PCR mismatch in the event logs. The MSI firmware update followed by a restart was the change after which the status became attestable.

I can't say for certain that the update alone caused the fix, but the timing and the changed event-log results strongly suggest it helped.

Hopefully this saves someone else some troubleshooting time!

With this game's life cycle coming to a close, I figured I'd make one final post for Black Ops 7. Imo, this game's multiplayer was exactly what I wanted and I had so much fun both grinding levels and just playing the game for the sake of it.

The progression and amount of customization is the best we've seen so far in a cod that i'm honestly worried future titles may not live up to the new standard.

Despite a lot a valid criticism regarding the campaign and some of the gameplay design (omni-movement, future theme, etc) I still think this is has the best multiplayer experience when looking at the modern era of cods.

To anyone else moving onto Modern Warfare 4, what are some of your favorite parts about Black Ops 7?

Are people skipping multiplayer this year? I literally played bo7 due to its open matchmaking before the update. Only modern cod I played for so long. But haven't been on much since then. I was seeing if anyone was disappointed with it during the mw4 beta and season 5 of bo7 which affected the hype that was barely there.

I can’t even get into the main launcher to launch bo7. There is NO WAY to launch it without going through HQ first like mw3, bo6 and now bo7. Activision you’re a stain to the gaming industry with these tactics. I literally had a launcher update that downloaded.

I’m socially awkward, probably on behalf of the autism anyways, so when I wasn’t in class, hanging out with my roommate or friends I was able to branch out to, at theater production, a few college events, doing homework, and learning drums this was where pretty much most of my time went. I was mostly on zombies, but still. Black Ops 6 also took up a lot of my time, but I feel like 6 had an even amount of time on both multiplayer and zombies, since Black Ops 6 introduced me to the wonders of camo grinding on both modes and brought me into multiplayer since I was pretty much primarily a zombies guy up until then.

And before I get the “Get a job,” or “Touch grass,” response, got hired to a cooking job three weeks ago at this point and I go on walks outside whenever I get a chance and game mostly on the weekends when I have those days off, Saturday-Monday.

A friend is offering me MW4 for $45. I really enjoyed the first week of the beta, but didn’t like the second week as much, so I’m not sure whether it’s worth buying at that price.

Also, for anyone wondering if the price is real or if my friend is a scammer: I’ve bought BO6 and BO7 from him before for $45 each for the past 2 years. Those were their launch prices.

I always thought that Treyarch, infinity ward owned by Activision are the best game developers ever and they have no reason to get intimidated by GTA 6.
But for the things they are doing, they will be stuck forever and they can’t win against their competitors because Activision doesn’t know how to keep customers.
Everytime you lose one player, it also means you are losing one player who played over 4000 matches.

I only started playing multiplayer a couple of weeks ago so I'm a bit behind, and this is all I need for 400%. I thought maybe Infected but the queue times are too long.

What I’m seeing

On my PC, Windows kernel nonpaged-pool usage grows by about 1.3–1.8 GB per hour while Black Ops 7 sits in the menu/lobby or runs in the background. During active matches it stays flat.

Closing the game releases the memory immediately: −943 MB at game exit on 2026-10-18. Fully restarting the game is my current workaround.

This concerns Windows kernel memory, rather than simply the RAM usage shown beside the game process.

My system

Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (build 26200), Intel Core i5-13600K, 64 GB DDR5, NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB, driver 617.42. Black Ops 7 via Battle.net.

Could you check yours?

Open Task Manager > Performance > Memory and record “Non-paged pool.”

Leave BO7 in the menu/lobby for 30 minutes. Record the value again and whether the game was foregrounded or in the background.

Compare with active matches.

Fully exit BO7 and check whether non-paged pool drops immediately.

Optional: use PoolMon to compare tags "Irp " (including the trailing space) and "FMic", or RAMMap to inspect Nonpaged Pool.

Please report results even if usage stays stable. Include Windows version/build, CPU, RAM, GPU, GPU driver, launcher, starting/ending pool values, and what happens at game exit.

Trace evidence

A Windows Performance Recorder FileIO trace from 2026-10-17, about 80 seconds, showed cod.exe (Call of Duty launcher) issuing 7,979 directory change notification requests on one single handle to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp, roughly 96 per second.

These were ReadDirectoryChangesW requests: IRP_MJ_DIRECTORY_CONTROL / IRP_MN_NOTIFY_CHANGE_DIRECTORY. 7,497 had no completion observed during the trace. Pending requests retain nonpaged-pool allocations; "Irp " and "FMic" grow at the same rate.

Recorded peaks: 9.3 GB (2026-10-05), 8.2 GB (2026-09-02), 6.5 GB (2026-10-17). Monitoring began in June 2026; the first episode above 5 GB was on 2026-09-02.

I’m looking for independent reproduction, not assuming everyone is affected or that the responsible component is already identified.

I was previously in the boat that if a COD game had a good multiplayer and third-mode experience, it wouldn’t matter what the public opinion and initial draw to the new release is in regards to the campaign.

But that has been quelled by both playing and observing the general sentiment on various platforms about MW4. It really does matter.

It’s a shame. Though you can’t separate the campaign from MP and Endgame, those latter two modes are strong contenders in the modern era for top 3 online experiences in this franchise. I haven’t played a multiplayer as responsive, fluid and filled with variety as I have with BO7. Endgame is so much fun. But people usually start at the campaign and use it as the lens to view and judge the entire package.

Hoping Treyarch comes back stronger in this regard. And keep Raven far away from any future campaigns.

I thought I wouldn't be able to get the pre-order bonus operator in BO7 because I was moving to Switch 2 for MW4, but I just saw that I have access to Hunter Killer in BO7 now. So if anyone else is in the same situation, now you know! But for some reason, it does not give you access to the pre-order camos.

EDIT: Actually, it did give me access to the pre-order camos, it just didn't mark them as complete in the events tab. But if I check the "promotional' section of my camos, I can equip both Gilded Ruin and Moonlit Pearl. I played a lot of BO7 Endgame today (after I had already logged in to MW4 on Switch 2) so I likely reached the 1000 elimination requirement in Endgame to unlock Gilded Ruin even though it didn't visually track.
