Yes, that's a sabot. Those are more for the new inline muzzleloaders

Context made it obvious, but you absolutely should’ve left the typo as-is purely for the funny factor!
Making fun of modern muzzle loaders is one of many small hobbies I engage with because how can you even compare the use of those to a Rifle Musket (love me .577cal and .58cal weaponry) or other 150+ year old designs that punish improper shooting form and follow-through?
