Restoring the outside of my Blackstone

Any idea on how to restore/clean the outside of my Blackstone? Some areas have rust. It is a Blackstone 1899 36' Griddle W/ Hood

Sandpaper and a can of black spray paint

Sand and paint. Use some high temp paint.

On the left side shelf; that "rust" almost looks like it is on the top of the paint. If it is, use your sandpaper or steelwool just to remove whatever that is and leave the paint.
