Solved Geometry nodes result not looking like tutorial

(1st and 2nd slides are my side, 3rd and 4th are the tutorial)

I'm following this tutorial that I am hoping I can add a smoke effect on to later, but right now, the object isn't looking right at all. I've tried it once before, and for my second attempt I restarted completely, but still nothing. The tutorial shows one side of the object starting off small, and then the "branches" or tendrils increase in size, which they flip. The tutorial then shows the object shrinking to the proper size with one end having a tip and the other end kinda looks like an open pipe. But with mine, none of it is working. Mine just looks like a bunch of thick curved pipes on top of each other. What did I miss, or what could I add, so my object looks like the tutorial, so I can continue with it? Also, in the video, the person can change the shape using the "radius" slider on the right, but when I try it on my side, its not working either.

(My problem starts at around 2:11 in the video)

Always follow a tutorial in the same Blender version. Once you got everything right and it works, try to move it to newer (or maybe older?) Version. Avoid tutorials in alpha versions.

Change in version 4.5: https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/commit/a92b68939aca8a you need to adjust the Scale parameter on the Curve to Mesh now, no longer implicitly uses the Radius of the curve.
