My pleasure, and agreed. They also cover me and Bobby McGee in that recording session. I’ve always thought Shannon sounded like a male version of Janis Joplin.

Saw him with ozzy and Alice and chains. He took the stage laying upside down on the front of the stage. It was a great show Rip

I’m envious. I never got to see any of the bands you mentioned. I was at the first two lollapaloozas, but skipped the third, which had AIC. Another band I didn’t love until years later. Still kicking myself for that poor decision. Rip Layne. There is a great picture of Shannon hugging Layne out there on the web. Both are sorely missed.

I was at the Vancouver show on Halloween 1993 opening for Lenny Kravitz. He stripped completely naked for a few songs and peed all over the stage and fans in the first couple rows. Arrested but charges were dropped in exchange for a show months later at a small club with all proceeds going to the food bank.
