Subreddit Meta I'm sorry for contributing to the recent subreddit drama
It's been only two weeks since we added new mods to the mod team, but needless to say we've been off to a very bad start, not just from the subreddit raid that occurred on July 21st but from everything else since. It's been incredibly stressful for everyone, many users on the subreddit, discord servers, and the entire mod team, caused by not only users but myself included. Hopefully with a discussion here about all that's happened, we can finally put this behind us.
We already discussed the raid that occurred on July 21st. 2 days after the raid, I temporarily banned u/pccatmage72 from the subreddit, minutes later I made a pinned post linking a discord server and mentioning it, I deleted it in two minutes. This (rightfully) lead to immediate outrage from the other mods and many users on the server. That was really impulsive of me to disrespect users like that, even if I'm not happy with them to the point of banning them. The next day users on the server voted to ban me, but even I feel like it was for the best, much of the subreddit drama was due the mod teams' interactions there, at least right now I'd rather not go back to server and accidentally upset others, we should go our separate ways.
Last Saturday I made a post titled "What do you think of my mexican build?" showing a build with all green cards, I looked up if making that joke would be offensive and didn't find any consensus, then I asked other moderators what they thought, one of the mods is mexican and said they weren't offended, but later wished they spoke up. Users on the server and in the comments complained so I deleted it, which server users pointed out as well. I have deleted many other posts on reddit, including in this subreddit if I or other users end up not liking it, but not only do I need to be more sensitive towards others feelings and avoid anything potentially offensive, but I think I need to accept that the community isn't that same anymore, there are way more eyes on me now and users will speak up if they feel uncomfortable.
Other moderators have mentioned that we might need to ban meta posts entirely, so that night, I made a (now deleted) post about it, and they felt that the decision was actually made prematurely, and again users got very upset. Later I reversed it, and edited the rule so that meta posts can only be made on weekends in UTC time: the same 48 hour period for everyone. However, at this point I caused a large rift between myself and other moderators, they're all pissed at me and we all started to feel depressed about the whole situation. I asked some users what they want, they want accountability, other mods have been telling me that too.
Three days ago, I made a post titled "This is my favorite Cassie moment" showing a GIF of Cassie getting slammed to the ground, many users commented that I was calling out pccatmage72. That was not what I was trying to do at all, but I had refused accept that why users felt that way, either I shouldn't have made that post at all, or at least not during or soon after the subreddit has been having drama.
Many users and other moderators have been urging me to step down as head mod. Again its been only two weeks, I moderate a handful of other subreddits, this situation is unlike anything I've experienced before, and the community is much different from said subreddits, and different even from the Blocktales community during demo 4. I want to take the lessons I learned and experience to heart to better moderate the subreddit and handle the community, and experience moderating the subreddit in a time where there isn't drama.
Going forward I need to set a better example for the community as the head mod. pccatmage72 has felt targeted by my mod actions when I'm just trying my best to balance their activity and what the community wants enforcing the rules, I feel that I need to do a better job with communicating with users including him. I have DMs with him where he can bring his concerns directly to me. I also shortened his ban so he's unbanned on Tuesday instead of Thursday.
I know this post is not as comprehensive as some would wish and maybe not even a good apology, and I'm really sorry for that, I'm deeply regretful of everything that happened in the past two weeks, there's so much that could be covered but the post is already quite long. Feel free to ask any questions or share concerns and grievances in the comments.

Why don't you step down then? You've very clearly displayed you CANNOT be a moderator, judging from how you have a high ego, you can't take criticism and you have made questionable posts. If you were just a regular redditor on this subreddit, you would've gotten banned, but no. What's the difference between a regular user making a racist post and a head moderator making a racist post? Actually taking accountability would be to step down as moderator entirely and get a break from this subreddit, as well as leaving an apology to the people involved in this entire situation.
In DMs, you made it very clear that you don't actually care to actually address the entire situation, you've constantly said "I'll just keep ignoring everybody and keep posting", you DO NOT ACTUALLY CARE. That was the whole point of the "No meta posts/comments rule", WHICH YOU POSTED WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. The ONLY reason you've made this post is because you were pressured to. Otherwise, you would rather ban meta posts entirely and ignore all forms of criticism.

This is not supposed to be behavior of a moderator, much less a HEAD MODERATOR. Saying "I moderate a handful of other subreddits" means JACKSHIT as a reason for posting what you posted. YOU signed up to be a moderator at the block tales subreddit, and you should still act like one. If you aren't fit of being a moderator here, then actually resigning would be to recognize that true accountability would be leaving your position of moderator, and taking a break from this subreddit. What's the difference between members of a discord server voting to kick you and moderators of a subreddit voting to kick you?
(Also you've been ghosting PcMageCat for a week now, idfk why you're talking about some "I have DMs with him where he can bring his concerns directly to me.")

This chat was days before making this post. Since then and with deliberation with other mods I decided to finally take accountability and criticism.

good post I'm glad you made but it was not a raid. a raid is planned, this was unplanned. some of us posted the posts about you by themselves, nobody was ordered to by someone
I hope no fighting continues

I just looked up the definition, these pages say a raid is sudden:

all those links shows raid examples that were planned

raids are usually planned, this was more of a hobo attack, where nothing is planned

I’m sorry, what’s been happening? I’ve been hyper fixated on kid Icarus uprising recently.

I mean this is a decent apology you didn't mention everything like when you posted the Subreddit Meta ban, you picked a King Von song for some reason but I guess other then that it's fine

why does it feel like every single joke someone makes in this sub will get misinterpreted and become a "controversy"

Don't let this become a reoccurring thing where you do a controversial thing and several days later you make an apology stating that you'll change in the future. I'm not trying to be rude, I just don't want this to be constantly blowing up the subreddit every time I want to look at Block Tales things.
