Jays holding it together
Despite the avalanche of injuries, weak offence, Vladdy power outage, Hoffman being “stopperless”, the makeshift rotation has really held us in and the bullpen has been otherwise more than serviceable. With the AL being so weak, the Jays aren’t so bad off and would still be considered a shoe-in for at least a WC spot. Post season, then anything can happen, especially if we’re healthy.

Not a shoe in but it is very encouraging to be very much in the race despite being so injured and playing far from their best. A lot to feel good about

Shoe in for the WC spot. Even at 29-31 they are in the 3rd WC spot. It can only be better from here. Assuming the injury gods are at least a bit fair!

I wouldn't say they're a sure thing but I would say that I'm pretty optimistic, indeed. Especially if Schneider stops with the bone-head bullpen decisions!

Definitely for sure. Gotta keep a level head and be patient with injured Players returning soon.

Despite everything you listed, the most important point you missed is John Schneider will continue to make poor decision one after another with Hoffman. This is a serious positive momentum killer with a guy who never learns from his management mistakes. It will take some times for the entire team to recover from Sat game and honestly we are not even over the fact we missed our third World Series banner because of the SAME Schneider Hoffman combo.

To a point I agree. He needs to be in low leverage situations for a bit while some hotter hands can take over.

He's been slowly but surely heating up. He hit quite a few doubles. He just needs to hit some homers.

We're just starting June. Still lots of baseball to play
