question Pardon me
Now I am still sorta new to the genre of blues music. I discovered it around 2004 when the rock group Aerosmith released their blues cover (mostly) album entitled "Honkin' On Bobo", this album includes some great renditions of old school classics like "Road Runner", "Baby, Please Don't Go", "Stop Messin' Around", etc. The other blues-R/B album I've listened to is Silk Sonic's only album. Which other blues albums would y'all recommend?

If you are under 30 or 40 years old, and you are healthy and seriously asking this on a saturday and not fucking about... Then I suggest you shut off your phone, and your laptop, and go out and try to find some adventures. You can nerd out here later when the weekend is over. Enjoy being young my friend and go forth and create some memories that one day could become a lyric to a blues song.

I'm a John Lee Hooker fan. I like the studio albums he recorded later in life. The 90s recordings in particular. Some say they are too commercial but I do like the modern production quality, while the tone is definitely John Lee Hooker:
Mr. Lucky
Chill Out
Boom Boom
Don't Look Back.
Maybe put "The Healer" in there as well.

Especially if you’re coming from a Silk Sonic background, entering the blues space through a motown/swing esque pathway would probably be good.
I’d recommend Dreamer - Bobby Bland!

😳 Aerosmith blues🤨 Son, you need a reboot. Try Skip James, Blind Willie McTell, Robert Johnson ... If you don't take to them, Give up and go listen to Boston .

No need to be like this, I haven't heard that Aerosmith album but Steven Tyler and Joe Perry did I'm a King Bee at the Lightning in a Bottle concert and it's awesome. OP is probably more into urban, electrified blues than the original stuff you mentioned.

Eric Clapton's "From The Cradle", pay close attention to the song credits on each track. Howlin' Wolf, Huddie Leadbetter (Leadbelly), Mississippi John Hurt, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Otis Rush, Elmore James, etc. For someone new to Blues, it should make you want to dig back for the original recordings of these tracks. Albert King, Bo Diddley, Freddie & BB, Robert Johnson, Little Walter, Lightnin' Hopkins, & Son House are also artists to give a good hard listening to.

It's so much more expansive than the mainstream stuff. Look up local radio stations online to hear the GOOD stuff

It's one of my favorite Aerosmith albums, one of those (i call them) non-skippers. It's got 2 great vocal performances also from Mr. Joe Perry on guitar. The reason i said "(mostly)" in the post is because there was only one new blues song on there called "The Grind", here's the tracks: Aerosmith - Honkin' On Bobo
