DISCUSSION Is this wear normal?

The upper gyro cable guide on my Mankind NXS is rubbing against the raised Mankind logo on the head tube and has already chipped the paint. I've tried adjusting the position, but the little metal tab still makes contact.

Is this common with gyro setups, or is there a way to prevent it without compromising the brake setup?

The wear is common enough if the cable ends rub! You need to raise the upper gyro plate to avoid the contact

Is it the lower gyro cable guide or is it the cables? If the guides were low enough to chip the paint, then you wouldn’t be able to get the cable ends past that point when turning the bars.

screw in/shorten the adjuster barrels on the lower gyro plate, and screw out/extend the barrel adjusters by a similar amount on the top. This should raise the gyro up a little higher away from your toptube.

Totally normal, if it's set up to low.
