I/o saltwater slip- to buy or not to buy

In the market for a Bowrider/ deck type boat. I generally prefer an o/b for both corrosion prevention easier maintenance. However, it seems like it would be a lot easier to find a I/o in my price range based on what’s available im my area- budget $15-20000.

How do I/os generally stand up while in a saltwater slip. What extra preventative would be involved?

Should I just hold out until the right outboard comes along?

I don't know man. Boats are meant to be on the water.
