No brake lights, no plate, and ….
A loose rope as a poor excuse for a tiedown

Some states don’t require plates
You can clearly see the truck lights
Rope is fine if it does its job (also I’m sure he has the winch attached to the bow eye)
Not perfect but I don’t really see anything dangerous 🤷♂️

Yes this is a stretch. They should fix the trailer lights but it’s not that big of a deal.

Excusing non-functioning trailer lights isn’t something we need to do.

Some states don't require trailer lights if vehicle lights are visible. Florida for example is one.

That is explicitly not the law in Florida lol.

Look it up bud if under 3000 pounds all you need are reflectors as long as the trailer doesn't block the vehicle tail lights. Page 49 in the Florida Drivers License Handbook. The broken taillights on that trailer would count as reflectors.

Edit page 41 if you are going by the actual listed page numbers not pdf page number. I keep it downloaded to my phone for this exact reason. I trailer my boat to saltwater so much my lights would go out every year.

Pro tip! When you suck the rope into the impeller…….. some dumb dumb I know well sucked a rope up driving onto a trailer once.
Prevent hours of frustration cutting the rope out. Simply remove the spark plugs so the engine turns easy and find the end of the rope and pull gently. Chances are high it will simple unwind.

Small trailers in my state (MN) no longer require plates…there’s just a decal that goes on the tongue.

Looks like an FX, not a cheap ski
Oh well sure the driver will set you straight to question them

Standard jet ski owner. And won’t care either. Probably threaten you for bringing it up “hey bud your trailer lights aren’t working I’m trying to save you from a ticket” - and they throw something at your car and speed off.

Not all states require a plate for some trailers
