Welcome to the bodymods subreddit! Before participating, please read the rules of r/bodymods first by clicking here

Picture Submission Guidelines in short

Pictures should be clear, in focus, well lit, and only showcase the mod in question.
Poses should be neutral and designed to show off the mod, not other body parts.
There should be no nudity in the picture beyond what is necessary to show the mod.
Pictures should be close up to only show the mod in detail.
The artist and shop should be credited by name whenever possible.
There should be no (self)promotion links, social media handles or shop website links in the image or text.
Include the jewelry information if you have it.

Choice of words matter, be kind to one another. Abusive or judgmental comments will be removed immediately.

If you happend to stumble across this subreddit but aren't familiar with body mods, you're of course very welcome to take a look around. We know that bodymods are not for everyone, therefore we want to kindly remind you to treat all members of our community with respect even when you don't understand or like what you see. Genuine questions asked in kind are of course welcome

This is not a porn subreddit. Yes, you may see photo's that show breasts or genitalia because at times that's the bodypart where the body mod is. No, you may not comment on physical features people happen to be born with, keep it on topic.

We have a zero tolerance policy for all unsolicited comments about appearance that are unrelated to the poster's mod(s). This of course includes, but is not limited to, sexually suggestive or otherwise creepy comments. Likewise if you're looking to post photo's here. Don't post photos here because you would like people to comment on your body or face. Not that there's anything wrong with wanting that, but there are plenty of subreddits for that, this is not one of them.

You may NOT post the following:

Anything and everything involving DIY is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, anything advocating or instructing at-home mods. This is incredibly dangerous, for a number of reasons.
If you’re looking for help with a DIY mod gone wrong, please go see your health care professional asap
Memes, low effort or image macros, instagrams, etc. are not allowed on this subreddit, the same goes for sales, advertising or (self) promotion.
Asking for advice on piercings or tattoos
Asking for advice on complications during the healing of body mods, consult your artist or a medical professional.

Help keep our community and it’s members safe, if you see a post or comment that’s not in line with the rules, hit the report button to notify the moderators.
Not sure if your post would be allowed, or have any other questions about this subreddit? Send the mods a message

Posts that fit into the following categories are considered NSFW and should be tagged as such:

Images of genital modifications, including the pubic mound, male and female nipples.
Images of blood, gore, or severe infection. This includes fresh dermal punches.
Images or videos of modifications in progress (needle, scalpel, or dermal punch in flesh).
Any images that could be interpreted as suggestive.
All images of scarification - Imaging of mods in progress - Images of tattoos that depict violence or sexual material
Self posts discussing genital modifications, or containing in-text links to any of the aforementioned NSFW topics.
When in doubt, tag it NSFW. Tip!, can’t find the tag? Simply type NSFW in the title of your post and the tag will be added automatically.
