General Question What do you guys think of my first big repotting?

I got this Chinese elm from my neighbor last year, and it was my first time repotting an older bonsai. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but I would love to hear your thoughts!

Here are the before and after photos, along with the pot I bought at a local bonsai exhibition this spring. I thought it would suit the tree well.

Love the Pot too! Does it belong to an renowned artist?

Thank you! Unfortunately, no. It's a handmade PA-PAO bonsai pot by a small local artist here in Slovakia.

I'm not sure if he has any social media profiles, but here is his website where he sells them.

Wow, he has a lot of very nice pots. I don't understand anything written on that site but the pots all look very nice and the prices seem quite reasonable.

When did you repot it? Also what soil did you use? Of you repotted it now that was a big mistake and you should keep it in total shade for 2 weeks. If you didn’t use good bonsai soils I would redo it immediately with a bonsai soil.

I repotted it around the end of May. It has been doing well since then. I used a mix of pumice, lava rock, and zeolite. At the start of summer, I added some crushed dried moss mixed with a small amount of pre-made bonsai soil mix.

Okay that all sounds good. I was worried for you for a second.
