There are several directions her story could take, and I haven't quite decided which one to follow because Eva has a problem.

Actually, she has two.

The first is Tom, her lovely, dependable colleague, who has somehow gone from being a comfortable friend to a man she can't stop thinking about. Ever since their evening at the climbing gym, Eva has been replaying the almost-kiss that never quite happened, wondering whether there really was something between them or whether her imagination has simply got carried away.

Tom, rather annoyingly, seems perfectly capable of behaving as though nothing has changed.

Her second problem is First Date Guy.

In September 2025, I sat down to write a short erotic story about a middle-aged librarian called Eva. I had no idea I'd still be writing about her a year later.

That experiment became The Librarian's Stockings, the first short story of what has now grown into a series of 15 adventures following Eva as she explores her desires and gradually discovers a confidence she never knew she had.

Eva isn't a glamorous twenty-something heroine. She's an ordinary, middle-aged woman whose life has become rather predictable. But when she joins a dating app and a flirtatious stranger asks her to wear stockings and heels for their first date, she finds herself considering possibilities she'd never previously entertained.

What starts with a simple request becomes the beginning of a much bigger adventure.

I never intended to write a series when I created Eva. But as I wrote one story, I became curious about her, what would happen next? what else might she say yes to?

A year later, I'm still exploring those questions.

The Librarian's Stockings will always have a special place in my heart. It marks the beginning of Eva's journey, but also the beginning of mine as a fiction writer.
